Very good

Location, staff prompt to solve issues. Too many issues. We were put in a bedroom with a broken toilet seat. When we turned on the shower, the whole room would flood. The room was dirty, the building was old, and there was also a very noisy mobile AC. I had to request a room change and was “moved as a courtesy” to the main building, where the room was newer but still not worth the price.

The room was very clean. The balcony was like having an outside room. The property was a close walk to food, shopping, and the beach.

I had booked a classic king room. Assuming it was all booked out when i entered my room , i saw i was upgraded to a suite. Loved the room. Hotel is very clean. The only things i didnt like were the rooms were poorly lit by only a lamp, if you are staying with friends you might not be in the same building because the hotel is broken down into 3 separate buildings i think , the hotel has 2 pools but the rooftop pool was under maintenance, with certain bookings there is breakfast included but it isnt in the hotel you are staying at. They give you a voucher at the front desk , you have to walk 2 blocks to the other location to get breakfast. However from 5-6pm this hotel offers complimentary happy hour 1 drink per person. I wouldnt mind staying here. It just gets alittle confusing sometimes.

They false advertise everything, There’s no balcony room the ones I was offered the balcony was shut with aluminum to keep the portable ac on because the main ac wasn’t working, they was giving a hard time to compensate us when they did the next room smelled like mold and when you shower it creates a leak outside the bathroom. There was no roof top pool access everything was terrible never again will I stay here !

The location The room size was extremely small. Also the safety deposit was charged to my credit card and not pending...it was not refunded automatically as stated on check out. I now have to go to my bank and contact the hotel to have this cleared up...this is unacceptable

Excellent stay

AC was broken and was refused a change to another room. They brought in a mobile AC unit for the room that didn’t help at all and taped up my balcony door for its ventilation. Couldn’t even spend one night there because the room was so hot.

... I had a deluxe double queen suite for 8 days... the room was comfortable and appointed nicely. The fridge is small, and there's no freezer. I love to freeze bottles of water to carry and hydrate while walking when I travel, couldn't do that. I also think the bathroom could use a goodt scrubbing in some of the corners. My usual hotel gripe WHY WHYYY are there half shower doors - such a dumb design across the board, d@mn floor kept getting wet. Outside of that... the pools are a bit small, but you arent in Miami for the pool - goo to the beach! Go to Lincoln Rd, lots of shops... check out the Art Deco on Ocean Drive... hey, hey, every tab/order will have an automatic 20% added. Food was amazing across the board through. Aye, make your way to the Cuba Cafe... off 11th maybe, the empanadas are delish! Santorini, STK, Orange Blosson and Cafe Americano are more of my favorite eats. Have fun!

Disappointing

I like the location, facilities, and cleanliness. The sofa in my suite was torn and need to be replaced. The suite for 2 guests have only 2 towels, 2 face towels and no bath mat. Would be nice to have extra towels. The cable tv channels have 5-6 channels working at was blurred.

The first room smelled like mold. We were then transferred to another room where the ac didn't work. On the last day we were transferred to another room which made a total of 3 rooms on our 3 night stay.

Passable

One improvement I would suggest to the hotel is that the sink/mirror area is very dark and could use more light. Or offer a mirror in another place in those style rooms to allow for better lighting.

Riviera is in a great part of town and has an awesome vibe. Highly recommend the Orange Blossom around the corner for dinner! I had one issue which the staff handled quickly and professionally. I highly recommend this property for their willingness to make their guests stay excellent.

Great place to stay. Close to the Beach and places to go around. Friendly staff - I would highly recommend it.

None Charged resort fee but no access to pool 1. No advise of current construction at booking time nor from concierge. Card key needs activation every single time you exit. Very inconvenient since reception is on another bldg. and they always question “is this close from your celphone?” Linens and towels looked and FELT rough. All furnitures looked tired. Room dark, gloomy and sofas are muggy. Feels like mushroom is going to grow from it. Carpet dirty, like never vacuumed forever. I personally bought disinfectant wipes to ensure quality. Bathroom smelt moldy and from sewer. No phone in room to call reception about your room concerns. They gave a number but nobody ever answers or calls back. A/C kept leaking causing us to slip. Have to sleep overnight without A/C as it failed after midnight. Staying here ruined Miami trip due to lack of rest.
