The pool was fun

Loved the pool and hot tub. There was plenty to do for our group when we went swimming. The rooms were nice and spacious, beds were comfy and the bathrooms were very well kept.

Here are a few issues: 1. In the AM, before checkout time and before we had checked out, the maid opened the door to our room while we were in it. It's true that she knocked, but very quietly and she didn't wait for us to reply before she opened the door. We would not have heard her if we had been watching TV, running water or sleeping. 2. When we asked the front desk person, "Is there breakfast?" the reply was "yes". But it's not free, it's about $14 per person. 3. There was only one washcloth in a room for 2 people. Good: 2 hand towels, 2 bath towels and a bathmat. 4. The clock in the room was set to the the wrong time (15 mins slow). Not a problem for us, but might cause others to be late to something. 5. The refrigerators are inside a wooden cabinet with a door. Inside the cabinet was very warm, which shows how hard the motor was working to keep the refrigerator minimally cool. 6. The ice machine on our floor wasn't working. 7. For a while, one elevator was making a loud alarm-like sound. 8. When I tried to report some of these issues, the person at the front desk didn't know English well enough to understand some of my concerns. Would any of these stop us from coming again? Yes, #1.

The only thing bad was. The fan on AC only worked on low. The freezer on the refrigerator was caked with frost. Other than that it was a very nice place. We didn’t eat breakfast because it cost much extra.

No help and I heard my neighbors all night

The Expedia description of this hotel says that there is a breakfast included.There is not a complementary breakfast. Honestly, I think this is the only Hilton Garden Inn I’ve ever stayed in that does not have a complementary breakfast. Went to the lobby this morning around 5:30 and the coffee station had no coffee.

Shopping and restaurants next door yet still close to downtown and the university. Clean, comfortable.

I loved the spaciousness and comfort of the room. Everything was very clean and well maintained. I slept so well!

Improvements needed: More sound-proofing between floors and replace annoying smoke detectors. Recommend guests reserve a room on 4th floor to avoid lack of sound proofing between floors. Also, wear an eye-guard to avoid the unpleasant experience of being wakened by the bright, flashing smoke detector light visible in a darkened room.

Woke up by hammer drilling in the next room

Great pool, extremely helpful staff, very clean.

We were woke up from them jack hammering the room next to us. It was very disturbing

Also, coffee machine was gross, didn’t work and had smelly old water in it, who knows how long it had been there?

We love staying there we have many times in such a convenient spot, clean and helpful staff. Thank you.

we lost electricity the morning of our stay - not hotel's fault but staff didn't inquire about our stay when we checked out early

The clerk at the desk offered zero information or direction at check in. We had to ask how to get to the room and where would be the best place to park. Later, when we asked for more towels, she said that they were “in the dryer” and would “have to be folded “. So we were out of luck. Additionally, the bed was very uncomfortable. I had a terrible time trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in and woke with a nasty back ache.
