Fairfield Inn Middletown Monroe

The hotel was under renovation, this was not disclosed prior to booking the room. Our room had a hole in the floor next to the bathroom, TV and AC didn’t work properly, among many other issues. We left before our stay was to end.

The property was close to things in the community. Mostly everything was less than 15 minutes away, which was convenient. The property itself was not the best. Upon arrival we were told that the first floor was under renovation, which was inconvenient. There were multiple people moving stuff throughout the hotel which made it feel overwhelming. Many of the amenities were not accessible to visitors. Wish We were told upon booking the stay. We had planned on accessing the pool during the stay, which we could not. Also the cleaning staff was not the best . We had requested getting our bed sheets changed but when we came back we had notice that only one of the beds were made up. Also on a separate occasion getting the beds cleaned both beds were made. Though there was not new sheets used, they were just made back up, which doesn’t seem sanitary. Though the management staff was some what ok, though there was not always someone at the front desk available.

The hotel was under construction without my knowledge. The pool and fitness area were under construction and blocked off. The hotel lobby, hallways, rooms, and parking lot were in various stages of construction. Our first room had ac that was not working and an overhead lamp that was not working. We asked to move to a room with working ac and we were accommodated. The new room had working ac, but had no bathroom overhead lighting. Instead, a lamp was plugged into the bathroom as a source of light.

The lower moldings were removed from the walls in the hallways. There was some kind of plastic strip laid down the middle of the hallway for you to walk on. THERE IS NO POOL. Lady behind the counter says Marriot has refused to remove the pool photos from the website for over a year. My shower had no shelves. The provided shampoo/conditioner/body wash were in squirt bottles on the floor of the shower. No thank you The room itself appeared clean, but when they misled you from the beginning, can you really trust the cleanliness? Remember those storage containers? Well one of them caught fire. Fire dept came and basically tossed the entire contents of the container onto the parking lot. What a mess. Contractor cleaned it up by putting up a couple of cones and driving away STAY AWAY

Not a thing Place was filthy. Room was disgusting, firealarm was covered with painters tape. Fridge didn't work bathtub didn't drain air was subpar and the swimming pool wasn't working. Two rooms at 118 per night, we should've slept in our uhaul

They were trying to reconstruct a hotel that should have been torn down and the whole place was in disarray. Smelled bad, Old mattresses piled up out front, old toilet seat not connected to the toilet, the front desk not answering the phone so I want down to the front desk seeing a note saying, pick up phone and call. So I picked up their phone and called and the front desk phone rang where I was standing and nobody came to answer it! No different from when I called from the room. People came in and a few minutes later walked out.

One night stay with family. Rooms were very clean and quiet even though they are doing construction. Called for help with tv and staff came right up and fixed it. Overall very pleasant and economically priced would stay again

Very clean property in a pretty safe location. Property currently under renovation, so my room only had one bedside table not two, other areas of hotel were under construction.

Motel was undergoing renovations

Property was undergoing major updating which meant there was a feeling of things being undone. However, the breakfast served the best coffee and scrambled eggs I have had in a motel.

We then used the toilet and it overflowed onto the floor. The space where we are supposed to have a refrigerator is empty And it was never disclosed on the booking site that this location is under construction. The pictures look nothing like this hotel. We are extremely disappointed and don’t even want to stay tonight but it is too late to travel home and everything is booked on the area. We will be checking out first thing in the morning. We would likes full refund Thank you

Location Property was under construction. Website listed pool and hot tub and did not have either. First room smelled like a wet dog. No hand soap in bathroom. Did not have a hand dispenser on wall and staff said they do not order prepackaged items anymore and told me to use the body wash that was on the wall in the bathtub.

The pictures lied about having a pool and there is pool. I asked for a manager to call me back and have yet to hear from anybody. This is completely unprofessional.

Beyond that, it's a good thing the hotel is getting remodeled. It's seen better days. Hopefully it is more than paint and carpet......there are moisture issues from lack of bathroom ventilation and perhaps prior leaky pipes. The HVAC unit needs a through cleaning to remove the mildew smell

The hotel exterior was renovated, but the interior was horrible. Huge water stains in ceiling roof, old loud heating system etc
