Wyndham Newport Hotel

This is a great hotel to stay in when visiting Newport. Great location and service from all staff. The room was ready and cleaned daily. A shuttle takes hotel guests to and from hotel to Thames street where all shops and eateries are. We enjoyed our time here and will visit again next time.

1). Recognitions of Expedia VIP benefits. No upgrade or resort credit offered. I had to remind them at end of stay when checking out to deduct from my bill. 2). The workout room is very much lacking. Two treadmills, one not working at all. The other did not have all functionality. Pulley machine had no attachments, rendering it useless. Recommend upgrading or eliminating. All in all, another very nice stay here.

Beautiful property! Everything was clean and very well maintained. Room was a great size. Bed was very comfortable and it had a sitting area/couch by the window with a view of the water. Restaurant was delicious. They have a free shuttle into downtown which is super convenient so you don’t have to worry about finding/paying for parking. Definitely returning to this hotel for future Newport trips.

Amenities were great- there is a shuttle to Newport, a great restaurant, indoor pool, laundry facilities and an outdoor patio with fire pits. We were placed right outside the patio- where there were a lot of events and live music in the afternoon. I wish they would have given us advance notice as I would expect they know it would be noisy in that location.

The room was immaculate as was the whole hotel. We had breakfast at the restaurant and the food was very good. Highly recommend

This is my go to hotel. It's clean the pool is a salt water heated inground pool. The restaurant is amazing. Rooms are updated, modern, and extremely clean and the staff is friendly. They have a free shuttle to downtown as well.

The property was very clean, the rooms were large, and the location was fantastic (as was the shuttle to downtown). The staff was the least attentive of any of the four hotels we stayed at during our trip. There were always 2-4 people at the desk at any one time, but they seemed more interested in talking to each other than checking in with or greeting guests. Having grown up in the hospitality industry, it was a bit of a disappointment.

Location could be better. Very uncomfortable beds … dangerous edges … clean but worn out …

Breakfast was good. I have two complaints. 1st- the tv situation, cable- we all want to watch our own streaming apps. Would be a valued upgrade to the stay. And 2nd: whenever I asked about a late checkout I got the run around instead of a direct answer. Just say no. Not calm tomorrow early, call at 9. Oops one more complaint- the shades are not sufficient at blocking out light . I need pitch blackness. These were light filtering. Otherwise if was sufficient. Thank you. Refer to previous

Good location and not far from downtown Newport. We appreciated the free shuttle that went between the hotel and downtown. The hotel was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, the parking is free, and there is a nice patio and bonfire area. We would definitely stay there again!
