Two support representatives via phone, one whose name is Kim, attempted to assist with a refund for my reservation at the Midvale, Utah La Quinta that, upon arrival, was under construction - taped off indicating no entrance to the lobby and a note saying the receptionist will be back. With most lights off and just a few cars in the lot, the place appeared vacant. I waited for help and then called Expedia for assistance to refund and relocate. After leaving to refuel our truck and 35 minutes on the phone, Kim said the hotel receptionist she spoke with after two call attempts assured her they were open with all amenities, so no refund would be honored. Upon returning and waiting again, a friendly receptionist checked us in and directed us to an alternate entrance at the far end of the building past a parking lot full of construction material. The room had just been slapped together with new furniture, taped numbers on all doors, still unfinished, working lamps, but no functioning light switch or TV. It was fine for sleep - thankfully quiet. The building was fully in renovation mode with drywall dust everywhere to include the breakfast room, and the pool and hot tub had been closed off for what looks like some time. Needless to say, Kim was given or gave false information. Likely latter as she was hesitant to give her name. The hotel website says “our property is undergoing renovations…”, but still lists all amenities as available. Very disappointing. Should have been refunded.

Nothing was advertised probably. Staff was rude. Way over prices

It is a property that despite being under construction gives you the comfort and tranquility to spend a good night, the people of the Front Desk are very kind especially the receptionist of the night, I hope they finish soon with the remodeling to return

Once we got to our room, we found that the air conditioning didn't work, the TV didn't work, and the phone didn't work. The only thing that seemed to function was the lights. Because of the construction, I had to walk all the way back around to the front desk. The gentleman working there simply told me to "deal with it," which was extremely disappointing. The floors were so dirty that we never walked around the room without our shoes on. The hotel was also very loud, and there were essentially no amenities available. To make matters worse, I was told I would receive a refund, but instead the hotel continued charging my card. The total for my stay should have been around $200, yet nearly $400 was taken from my account. It's now been four days, and I still haven't received my refund or my deposit. The hotel is avoiding my calls, as well as calls from Hotels.com. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Poor service, dirty rooms, broken amenities, unexpected construction, and unresolved billing issues. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The property is under construction. At check in I thought it was just the lobby, no the entire property is being done. Which you would think is great, but no. There is trash and messes every where. I had my child who is severely autistic with me. Who likes to elope and put things in her mouth. I booked an 3 night stay and a family member had to get us air bnb after one night. The pool is closed and it’s summer. The WiFi was down, the cable did not work. And with the lobby closed there was no breakfast. They check you in at a poorly set up table. They do not feel bad in any way for the amenities that are listed when reserving your stay do not work. Am I usually try to stay at LaQuintas when traveling because of the amenities. However this was worse than staying in a motel 6. I will never go back here. They do not let you know ahead of time that it is under construction or none of the amenities work. I’ve tried speaking to the manager multiple times with no follow up.

Room was reasonably clean but the outside property area was bad. Breakfast was bad, no power to toaster and refrigerator, and black tea was not available. Not that much choices on breakfast items. When we asked the staff about it, they were not helpful at all.
-
Pool and spa was closed!!! Was one reason I booked there. Ice machine by the room was disconnected. Building was under remodel.
-
Dirty bathroom, trash all around the inside and outside of hotel. Green pool

I can see that they are trying to update their accommodations but there is very little attempts to keep things clean for the guests outside the rooms which brought stuff in. I honestly wish there had been a warning about how much they are under construction. My kids wanted to swim and there wasn’t a pool, no lobby, rough entrances and made us nervous. The entrance and parking lot were absolutely disgusting.

Worst place I ever stayed, the building looks to be very old, a lots of things are improvised and the place looks to be under renovation.
-
The new modern look. Nothing, everything was great!

The motel was under construction and Iwas not notified. 😟

The hotel was under construction, caution tape everywhere (stairwells, lobby), breakfast was not appetizing. Construction supplies laid out everywhere, staff couldn't get a single fork for us. Place was dusty and smelled of plywood, not very quiet. Did not receive housekeeping even after placing a sign on the door.

The rooms were very clean but the items you use what room has like TV not working 3 room checked.Staff even told that the guest were in there last night no complaints so I got upset and took offense it like me and my daughter would sabatoge a TV and keep moving rooms. Staff harassed me when even I was standing outside at certain time people don't be thinking that there lotoring.
