La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Salt Lake City Midvale

The breakfast was fine, the room felt mostly clean. The hotel was under some renovations. However, because of this there was no sign outside or anything to identify this as a LaQuinta inn. On top of that, work was apparently not finished on the floors where rooms were still being rented. The carpets in the hallways were stained and dingy. There were papers with room numbers either printed or hand written on them and taped to every door. The doors were not closing by themselves as the jamb and door were touching and sticking the paint together, which also got torn off every time they opened. There was tissue paper stuffed in the peephole to my room, a lamp was missing leaving an exposed bulb hanging out, the smoke alarm started randomly beeping, and the exhaust fan in the bathroom was broken and hanging out of the ceiling, causing debris to fall down as well.

Very cozy and comfortable, excellent hotel breakfast served as well!

Had to change rooms because first room was dirty. Multiple people attempted to access room because they were given the same room number when checking in.

I had made a mistake with the dates they couldn't help me. They didn't even try. Also, they said that the construction was noted in their online about the pool in the hot tub. It was not what service was not great at all at this hotel. And it was dirty. Ask for a coffee pot at nine thirty. Didn't receive one until three when I went and asked i wouldn't stay at this particular hotel again

Room was dirty, we found a pill on the floor of the bathroom and trash, when we told the front desk we needed to change rooms he said it was all booked, which was a lie there was not many people there, very unhelpful and dirty, not a good place to stay, if you can go somewhere else

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! The staff was beyond rude and helpless. We checked in and there was cat food literally all over the floor and cat hair on the bed. It was BEYOND GROSS. I have 2 kids and myself SERVERLY allergic to cats. We had to leave. I tried to call the hotel no answer, spoke to customer service only to be told there is nothing they can do. I went back to the hotel and the manager said that I should have spoken with him sooner that there was nothing he would do but eventually send me clean bedding that I would have to change myself. So my family sat outside the room for 45 mins waiting for bedding. When it arrived I stripped both beds only to find blood stains and urine stain ALL over the mattress! Then I looked at the bedding and towels that were suppose to be clean and they were just as gross. We absolutely could not stay there. We were booked 3 nights didn't stay one. I tried once more before we left to talk to the manager and get a refund and he blew me off and said I was not his problem. I call the hotel complaint line to be told that I wouldn't get a refund even though I never stayed there and explained the whole situation WITH PICTURES! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! In a bad part of town. Low dark ceilings. Smells like weird foreign cleaner.

This hotel was very old and seem like under renovation. It was OK for a couple of nights. I wouldn't stay here longer than 3 days. Room was cleaned. AC was blowing but no cold air or weak air coming out. Breakfast was included with the stay, but really was not worth it. Parking was OK and enough for all the patrons. Did not use the pool or hot tub, but many people were disappointed that it were closed. Hotel located was next to the Denny's, McDonald, and gas stations for some conveniences. I wouldn't walk around the area late at night. Located close to the highway and only about 3 miles from the American First Field where the RSL soccer team played. Easy Uber or Lyft rideshare.

Cons: -None of the doors close properly. -You can hear every little sound that comes from the hallway. -"Buffet breakfast" consisted of waffles, hard boiled eggs that were overcooked, cereal, and if you were lucky to get there early enough, sausage. - TV remote didn't match the TV in the room. Not even sure how that happens. - hallway floors were dirty and sticky all weekend. -rooms were recently renovated (I think). The paint job was poorly done the bathroom floor tiles

The rooms were nicely remodeled. Pool smelt like shit and wasnt working, No food in any vendings, dirty bathroom floor, Ac sucked, Staff were hard to communicate with.

Front desk lady was nice. Maybe under remodeling? The lobby was unfinished, and the beds seemed much smaller than queen size.

It was a cheap price. And the room looked newly remodeled. Hallways had a weird smell to it, got locked out of the side door entrance near our room, tv would not work, break fast only had cereal and some toast nothing else. Pool under construction, no elevator only stairs, charges 150$ hold on top of stay price.

We stayed at this hotel specifically because my boys wanted to use the pool. After walking around looking everywhere for it (there are no direction signs in the entire building) we found the pool, which had been shut down by the health department. We also never did find an elevator.

swimming pool wasn't open couldn't figure out how to work the TV The door was hard to open & close. the window was Not put in very well, I guess, I don't know when I tried to open it, It seemed like it would fall out so I didn't dare to open it. For the price, I paid It was clean enough and comfortable enough. I didn't know about the $150 deposit I would have to make after I already paid for the room online. That would have been nice to know about. It would have been nice to know that this running pool wasn't available. That is one of the reasons why we picked that hotel.
