Park Inn by Radisson Salt Lake City Midvale

It was cheap accessible from the freeways and lots of food options close by. Towels were stained orange and red. The hallways and rooms had a nasty smell. There was hairs and yellow staines in the bed sheets.

The breakfast was lacking. Very little variety...cereal, oatmeal, watered down orange juice, no protein or eggs, just-make-your-own waffles and a few pieces of bread. Parking lot was build on a slant. Not a lot of spaces.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this place. I’m a touring musician who stopped here for one night and the place was very clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. The woman at the front desk was friendly and professional. Didn’t have the breakfast but all in all a really nice stay. Would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in the area.

Pool is not usable for the rest of the year, my tv did not work, air conditioner was unplugged when we arrived, breakfast was just coffee/toast/cereal/ and waffles if you were lucky enough to get any in time.

Tub was nasty, paint peeling on the bottom of the Tub. TV didn't work and the guy at front desk didn't seem to want to help us.

the staff was very responsive to our needs Tub filled with water when we showered. Only one nightstand between beds - nothing on either side of the queen beds. My husband saw ants on his side of the bed and in the bathroom. Not enough outlets for chargers. Low toilets for older/ADA customers. Very noisy.

The hotel is situated within walking distance of a few eateries and a rail stop. It is nice to have a few transportation options. They have partnered with locally eateries to enable food delivery to hotel in lieu of on site room service. I like the innovative thinking in that. Areas for improvement are really on management. They are quirky but it's the small stuff that makes the distinction. The hotel has been renovated. There is new flooring and fresh paint but the electrical faceplates are from before the renovation. It is small thing but it stands out. There was no soap caddy by the bathroom sink. The furnishings were older as well. The tv stand/dresser had water damage, it is still usable. This is an aesthetic. One of the night stands was missing rollers, so the drawer would fall right out. There was only 1 fruit option at breakfast. Items in the breakfast area should be labelled vs travelers guessing.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming upon check in and out. There were some "sketchy" people hanging around outside and inside the lobby. The bed was comfortable. The AC was extremely loud. The water in bathtub faucet was running the whole time, not just dripping. I did attempt to turn it off but it didn't work. I did report this to the staff upon check out. I did wipe off what appeared to be blood on the molding of the bathroom door! The continental breakfast was disappointing - not a lot to choose from.
