DoubleTree by Hilton Minneapolis - Park Place

AC worked well on hot days contrary to some reviews, shower was excellent and the room was quiet. We had 2 separate bookings as a result of our airline cancelling our original flight so we ended up coming 2 days earlier. This review is for the original booking that I made for the second half of the stay. I later found out we should have been in a superior room than the one we had for the first two nights however we ended up stopping in the room from the first two nights to avoid having to check the bags out for the day and come back later.

The beds were comfortable and the shower, although it looked average, was superb for its water pressure. I had seen some negativity in reviews about the AirCon but that performed very well with no issues thankfully as it was hot in the MSP area while we were there. We were on a higher floor facing the city if that made a difference. The Yard House across the street, never gone wrong visiting one of those when in the US. I would have liked to have had a King Bed rather than 2 doubles. I had messaged to say that we had two separate bookings of 2 and 3 days, due to the airline rescheduling our flight, that I was hoping they could link together but that didn't happen although they did ensure we stayed in the same room which I think was why we didn't get the room we would have liked with the king bed. Location was further out of the centre than I had thought, which was my fault for not looking into closely enough, although that was offset by having good parking and a Yard House across the road which was a real bonus.

The room was not properly cleaned and the beds were poorly made. The carpets are old and faded, the elevator was constantly smelling of urine and they didn’t give us complimentary water until we requested for it.

Beds were doubles, not queens. Can’t fit two adults comfortably. Otherwise nice room and hotel

My room was spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful. They went above and beyond. The hot tub in my room was absolutely amazing. I didn’t get to use the gym, but I’m sure that was fine too.

Basic room. Clean and smelled nice. There's a small fridge that didnt get very cold and had to go all the way to the lobby to use the microwave. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Hot shower with great water pressure. Staff was friendly. Pool is small, as is the hot tub so good luck if there's a bunch of kids running around. Also the air intake vents in the hot tub are neck height and very noisy. Not very relaxing. The "fitness center" is nothing but cardio equipment with 1 bench and some dumbbells. Doesn't get much more basic then that.

Large clean room but I couldn’t rest due to a continuous noise from a mechanical room and an ice machine.

Room was fairly clean. Sink had a Crack in it. And shower tile looked old and cracked and dirty. There were no bags in our trash cans, so weird but not awful. Over all not bad, it is an older hotel. For the price and ability to Uber location isnt bad at all.

nice to avoid the downtown area considering that crime is relatively confined to that area.

Breakfast is not free, they have a buffet you would pay. The pool area was small but well kept. the fitness room was nice. the staff is very nice. the bed was very uncomfortable. the rooms could have been less squished together, hardly any room between wall and bed. Could offer continental breakfast.

Room needed updates, tile work in bathroom. I like free coffee in the lobby.
