Hyatt Place South Bend / Mishawaka

One of my favorite places except the tv was an issue.

Breakfast room was warm & inviting. Breakfast was very good. Even when I arrived kinda late for breakfast the food just didn’t disappear. I’d stay here again.

All aspects of the property are in need of major updates! 1980’s/1990’s dark wood and beige paint. No A/C in the hallways, elevators, or common areas. Floors under carpet flexed/ moved (?) Elevators smelled bad. Adequately clean but “”old”

Breakfast was awesome. Staff is okay.

Great space in rooms with sectional coach.

Old 80s style rooms, AC that blasts into your face when you sleep, bathroom in need of remodeling, sofa with stained seats and no EV charger on the property. On the positive side, good breakfast and relatively quiet place to spend a night. I might stay here again, but would lower my expectations.

For a family of 6 this is the only hotel that has the perfect space for us so clean and well maintained

Everything Nothing

The front desk woman when we stayed was amazing!! She did a great job after we had a very long day of driving in rainy weather she was more than helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was ok but wish there would have been maybe cereal for our kids.

Staff was kind, rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is showing its age a little. My only complaint was the included breakfast — choices were more limited than your typical continental breakfast which caused us to have to eat breakfast off site.

Very outdated. Not that clean. Nice people who worked there!

Very professional

The room layout was very nice, good breakfast bar, excellent customer service and my daughter forgot an item and the hotel had a list of free items for that reason. They had free brushes, feminine products, toothpaste, sewing kits, makeup remover wipes and I could go on and what was not free they had to purchase or borrow. They really think of everything. The bathrooms are dated and look not so inviting and dirty. The pool hand rails are broken, the blankets look molded or something they need replaced either way. Room was very dusty , telephone didn't work in my room. There is only 1 microwave in the entire place. The lock to my door the key code thing kept falling off and I kept putting it back on.

The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired in the room and the gym cannot be used due to overheating, without air conditioning.

The bed and pillows were excellent. The breakfast was kind of bland and kid's choice were limiited.

Nice property. Everything was good. Room was large and enjoyed the quick stay.

Staff was very friendly. Our first impression of the hotel was relief because of our previous nights experience at a different hotel. We enjoyed our stay and experience so much we plan to stay at other Hyatt on our journeys.

Property needs some updates. Overall staff was very friendly. Ice machines were down and one of the housekeepers offered to grab me ice from the main floor which was very thoughtful and appreciated. Main lobby area is well kept but the halls had soft spots in the floor, carpet was dirty, had a funky odor in the room and just overall not impressed especially for the cost. Not up to the brand name. I would not stay again, especially at that price.
