Super 8 by Wyndham Mitchell

The room was ok. The property is run down. The breakfast was ok; we have experienced better breakfasts at other motels. The price was reasonable and appropriate for the condition. Carpet in hallway was dirty. Probably won’t stay there again.

About average for the Super 8 hotels we’ve stayed at. Seems most Super 8s lack in cleanliness and maintenance and this one kinda fits that. Halls, and carpeted stairways especially, could definitely use some vacuuming. Outside of the property seemed pretty clean though. Our two rooms were nice and clean, except one of the refrigerators had someone’s leftover Dairy Queen food left in it. Plumbing made all kinds of weird loud noises also. lol But water was hot and water pressure was good, those are pluses! Our room had the king bed kinda squished in it, very close to the wall (not even room to walk, had to turn sideways) and not even enough room for a nightstand. That was pretty annoying. Pool area was nice but could use some maintenance. Pool was perfect refreshing cool temperature though, after a long hot day of travel. Staff helpful but a bit hard to understand. Can’t speak for the breakfast since we didn’t have that. Overall, a decent place to rest for the night.

We were on an unplanned trip and I saw that this hotel offered cribs so I booked 2 rooms. We had already been on the road for 20 hrs and needed to check in early and needed 2 cribs but apperently this was a problem He said "we don't have cribs I don't know what forgien site you are on"...ok no biggie we can adjust but then I asked if we could check in early and he said "you should have planned better because we have 3 rooms". I only booked 2 rooms btw so I don't know how this was even an issue and I even told him we were just trying to get back to Michigan and needed a few hrs of sleep. He made it seem like such an inconvenience but I guess its our fault we had to go get a family from a bad spot and next time we will "plan better"

Air conditioning was not on, but cooled off quickly. The room I was suppose to get the people had stayed another night so was moved into another room.

Not a great hotel but just a quick over night for us.

I was a little concerned about the parking. The parking lot was kind of messy and hard to tell where you’re supposed to park. I was concerned my truck was gonna get hit. The room was clean. The pool was pretty small and when I went to go use it it was full of people so I didn’t feel like it was big enough to support that hotel and I did not see a hot tub.

Pool had sharp metal edging around both ends. My granddaughter got cut on the metal.

Dirty, unsafe, air conditioner started to smoke.

Needs to be updated hallway smelled, carpet needs to be replaced

Free breakfast was good. The mattress was also quite good

There was no coffee maker in my room.

They have a nice continental breakfast. The carpet was filthy the sofa couch was dirty. The floors weren't vacuumed. The clothes rack is right above the TV. So if you hang anything you can't see the TV

Room in the basement was loaded with mold and I couldn’t breathe

Mold in shower paint falling off the wall holes in the ceiling dirty mattress holes in sheets and head person at front desk can't speak English very well. Would not recommend.

The sink was cracked the floor was sticky, the room stunk, I honestly don't think the sheets were clean. I wrapped up in my blanket with my pillow and slept that way. I wouldn't touch anything in the room it was disgusting. The breakfast and the halls to breakfast were terrible. Grime on the wall heaters, a terrible repair to the stairwell was very unpleasant. Overall worst place ever. Would have left but I didn't think I could get my money back!!!!! Was in a tight budget traveling with grandkids everyone was too tired to go find something else. We stayed for maybe 6 terrible hours. I do have pictures of the horrific conditions. This motel 8 should be condemned!!!!! There was mold, yes mold on the faucet where the water comes out! Was this room ever cleaned by trained housekeeping! Couldn't have been, ever!!! The corners had built up residue mold and looked like mouse droppings. The fridge smelled even with the door closed! I told my grandkids not to touch anything including the T.V. remote. My husband has been sick since we stayed at this property. We both believe it's because of the filth!!!

Only issue was back steps entrance smokers ashtrays were overflowing and not emptied lm not a smoker but maybe the area could be moved away from entry door

The room I was assigned to had one bed on the floor . Within a hour found two cockroaches on that same bed. The morning breakfast was very minimal so went down the road to eat. Stayed @ super eight in Danville , Illinois night before not much better.Tonight staying in Walls South Dakota, locally owned much better.

Dirty room, very sticky hot. Did one loop around the room and decided to stay somewhere else.
