Thunderbird Lodge

New mattresses - slept well! They are working on the outside (facade) of the bldg - so they are putting $$ into the property. Breakfast was above average.

Very easy to find. The room was clean. There was lots of parking.

stay every year on our way to Sturgis. Great place.

Maybe the hotel is undergoing updates, I'm not sure... at least on the outside of the building. We were woken by loud hammering, power tools, workers and what sounded like elephants in the room above us. The bed frame made a loud noise every time we sat on it so that was fun to sleep to. There was missing plaster/sheet rock in the bathroom and sink areas. Caulking looked moldy so we didn't shower. The power recliner didn't recline. The room itself was stuffy but at least it didn't smell of cigarettes. We've stayed there before but in the other part of the hotel...I hope they continue to make improvements. Breakfast was lack luster and they didn't want it taken back to the room for whatever reason. Decent price but will rethink booking there again.

None of the outlets worked so could charge devices. Plugs over sink so old, your plug would fall out. Can tell in process of renovations.

Me and my grandma stayed there and one thing was just some grab bars for the bathroom area at the toilet other wise a good place to rest

Very friendly staff! Had trouble with tv and came right over and fixed it! Room was comfy and quiet

The room was clean but smelled like cigarette smoke and most of everything was old inside of the room aside from the tv, the bed was comfortable, the staff was super nice and friendly. The place is going under renovation so hopefully others will have a better experience than us

Every aspect of my stay at the Thunderbird was excellent. Location, staff, cleanliness, amenities, and proximity to a gas station and restaurants was perfect. I highly advise staying there,

Room was spacious Furniture seemed a little beat up as well as door to the room. I wanted the fan of the air conditioner to stay on, which it did, but then the air conditioner would not work for keeping room cool.

Decent place to stay for the price and the owners are in eating into the property but the breakfast was very dismal. We went to the dinner across the parking lot

This is an older motel they are actively renovating to make it a hotel with inside doors. Many of the people staying there were bikers on the way to Sturgis rally. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was across the parking lot from a restaurant that we ate at for 2 meals and was nice.

Good and kind staff. but outside of Bench was too closed my room and noisy onlate night.

I stay there on the way to Sturgis. The room looked like it was recently refreshed.

Place was under renovation; room was quiet and everything worked as it should. Walked across the parking lot to get a decent breakfast, about what one would expect from a foreigner owned budget motel these days as customer service is generally not their forte. We got some sleep done so that was good.

Comfortable room for a night!
