Lack of amenities. No housekeeping with a four night stay.

I highly recommend this establishment. From check to check out, our stay was perfect. The room was as promised...clean, comfortable, well stocked, and very affordable. Location wise, it is perfect, as we were within blocks to a variety of restaurants and shopping.

The location was so convenient to the local attractions and parks. Our room was very large and had everything we needed for a comfortable night's stay. We were stopping overnight as part of a cross country drive, so having the laundry facilities was a plus for us. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.

The hotel and the room were great our issues were with check in and housekeeping or the lack of it. Check in took forever because a large party had arrived just before us. That in itself is understandable but the lady that eventually checked us in was in the back office the whole time leaving her colleague to check in the large party and only appeared some 30 minutes later when the large party had gone to check us in. The issue with housekeeping is more of a corporate issue with Choice Hotels and their property operators who obviously discovered during the pandemic that they could get away with no housekeeping and thus reduce costs and staffing levels and now see no reason to reintroduce daily housekeeping which would hit their bottom line. We were told by the front desk at this hotel during check in that we would only get housekeeping on the third day but by the time we checked out after our 4 night stay that had never materialized but that may have been a counting problem because when we pointed this out to the front desk at check out there seemed to be some confusion as to whether day 3 would occur at all during a 4 night stay.
