The Virginian Motel

Beautiful clean room. Excellent housekeeping daily. Great location close to centre of town. Quiet as down road away from main road. Friendly staff. Outside area not well kept. Picnic area needs a tidy.

Another broken motel from the 1960s. No amenities, one staff member who sat in the office for hours on end. Not a nice place

I liked the location, it was convenient to the City Market grocery store and to a laundromat. The air-conditioning didn't work properly and management knew about the problem. The fuse kept blowing which required resetting the fuse. If I didn't get up in the middle of the night to re set it, the room got too hot. On our first day at the motel I went to the office to report that the air conditioner was not operating. The manager went to the room, jiggled the plug, nothing, re set the fuse and the air conditioner turned on. It lasted about 5 minutes. I did what he did and again, it went on for 5 minutes. As the room temperature was comfortable I figured we probably didn't need the air conditioning anyway. However, it turned out that the room got uncomfortably warm requiring me to get up several times during the night to re set the fuse. Since the manager obviously knew about this problem, I find it inexcusable that he had not addressed it properly. Also, the outlet was uncovered, a building code misdeed.

Location Sink drainage is no plug, unable to wash clothes properly for longer stay customers.

No breakfast, but we didn't expect a breakfast. The location was good. Front desk reception was not welcoming. Answered questions with one or two words or pointed to brochure when asked about information about Arches National Park. Room was not updated at all. Ice machine was turned off and there was no ice. Shower floor was a little slippery. On the first day of our two day stay, a worker was sitting in his car smoking. We felt uncomfortable as he was directly across our room.

Great value. Rooms were nice and comfortable and large. Edwardo was very nice and helpful. Not enough recepticles to power everything in room.

Nice manager. New furniture. Large room. K-cup coffee in rooms. It was clean when we checked in. We stayed 3 nights. The cleaners never made our beds. We didn’t expect new sheets, but they left our blankets in a heap. No new daily soaps or coffee cups. Also there was a bottle of eye drops left on the sink countertop from a previous guest.

AC blew nice and cold. Good location. No frills clean hotel.

This property was disgusting. The floor was so dirty I couldn’t take my shoes off. I found trash on the floor, mold in the bathroom and old blood on the sheets. I canceled my stay immediately. Do not stay here.

Location. The bed was decently comfortable. The pillows were awful. The outside lights shine light into the room around the curtains and door so it’s not completely dark at night. One of the shower handles was coming off the wall. No tissues. The rate was way too high for what you get.
