Best Star Inn - Montebello Los Angeles

It was exactly what to expect with area and affordability. Staff was nice and helpful when room key stopped working they fixed immediately. I will say the bathroom smelt absurdly like pee, I had to get cleaning stuff and clean it to feel comfortable using it. The light switch by the door did not turn on the light. Only light by bathroom and one lamp worked. There was no bed bugs or anything but there was stains on parts of the sheets. The only thing that was really unnerving was the eyes on me and my friends when we were coming and going from the room. All we saw were grown men in the parking lot and in the other rooms and they would stare at us without looking away.

They require cash deposit, when I checked out, nobody was there. They didn’t even answer the phone. I lost my entire cash deposit because of it. I asked for towels and it took them 24hrs to give me towels. They also wallpapered the walls in the room I was staying in, but didn’t tell me that they were going to be moving stuff and wallpapering the walls. Zero housekeeping while there.

Because the mirror in our room was beside the bed and it was uncomfortable, there wasn’t a lot of space between the bed and the wall with the mirror. But everything else with the stay was good! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There was no hot running water I was also asked to leave at 6 because I didnt enough money to pay for the deposit so I was asked to leave at 6 and I had used my gift card and my one key cash to pay for this booking kind of a waste but hopefully they can give me a discounted stay next time for the failed amenities and not being allowed to stay I wasted my gift card and I couldn't even shower I stayed 2 hours and left i feel i should of been allowed to stay i used my 21 dollars in one key cash a shot save your way and a 100 dollar gift card for this booking and I stayed 2 hours i showed up at 4 and left at 6 50 pm I forgot to leave the room key I'll take it one of these days sorry I forgot I was in a rush to leave because I had to find a safe and good place to park for the night so I could get some sleep worse part was the date I had actually called me back and I had to cancel i had no where to hang out hopefully yall can work with me next time at least now I know there is a deposit to pay first time I hear about it but other than that place is chill and the hot water was probably because they're remodeling the whole place upgrading so that could be why the hit water wasn't working but sucks maybe yall can refund me some of the money back please

The hotel was recently renovated however we saw two roaches crawling on the walls.

It was a fantastic night there with good hospitality

Never seen a filthier place. Roaches everywhere, dirty towels, hair on the bed, some dude working on his car in the parking lot. This place must have been nice 50 years ago but it hasn't seen a good day since. Filled with junkies and prostitutes. This is sort of a cliche of what the worst motel in the area would be. This is it. The funny thing is that the people who would actually stay here are not people who would ever read a review about staying here so, if you're reading this review, this is not the place for you under any circumstances. Spend an extra 30 bucks and get the Quality Inn nearby or something, for the love of God.

Location and price. This place needs to get it together ! Rooms SUCK big time they need to spend money and remodel beds sheets bathroom it's all bad. I don't understand how you guys have them on here, doing you have standards!!!?

The room was disgusting, sheets were burnt and had stains, walls were filthy and had liquid stains. The bathroom was cracked and the tub was gross, turned on the water and the water was coming out black. Do not even get me started on all the bugs and roaches all over the room. I get it you get what you pay for but this place I do not know how they are even up and running it should be shut down immediately.

No one bothered me No ice, machine didn't work, and there was only one ice machine, and it didn't work,, room was not very clean,shower didn't look clean either, no hangers, place needs to be remodeled,or a make over, not worth the money I paid
