The WiFi connection was terrible. This itself really affected the experience. The TV in the living room did not work whatsoever. The TV in the bedroom did not have any sound/volume on the 2nd day of our stay. The balcony was not accessible (this was never mentioned when we booked the reservation). The parking spots were all compact, which made it difficult to park and get in and out of our vehicle. All in all, my family and I would never stay here in again, and I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Roof Construction started at 7:30 am and we were not aware. Disaster experience

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

-Sticky hardwood floors -$45 pet surcharge -Rooms was hot even with fans on -Facing the parking lot on the first floor and having to keep the window curtains shut for privacy while paying $250 a night was ridiculous + Free parking + Free hotel wifi

Such a quiet stay enjoyed how close everything was

We booked this room for our family, we were visiting family for the 4th of July. We checked in and asked for extra blanket and pillows for our kids and they refused and indicated that they do not provide extra items and that they had no extra pillows. There was no AC and we had to open our door at night to cool off (for 20 minutes) we were not able to leave our window open because there were random people who smoked outside and the smell came inside. The staff was not helpful and the property was no comfortable for us and we were very upset with how we were treated. Plus there was no parking at night., This is a place to stay far away from. Hopefully the owners read this and improve these things.

It was just but very noisy

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Rooms were clean.good location. Only thing I was not happy with was I booked pay at the property and they double charged me before I even arrived. So I was unhappy with that had to wait 2 days for almost $1000 to be put back on my debt card.

Room was very clean and staff was very helpful. *Please note that there is no AC. however Monterey is cool enough that we had the windows open and ceiling fans going. *Also cell service was spotty and wifi was not reliable. *Parking gets pretty full on the weekends. For the value, we would probably stay here again.

The location is good. The neighborhood, of course, is a step (or two) down from Monterey, but it's safe and convenient. We were visiting CSUMB, so it's a nice half-way point between the Peninsula and the college. The entire stretch of places along Fremont Blvd is a bit run-down. I would refer to them all as motels, so ignore any wording that tries to make them sound fancier. Our room was pretty clean, a few spots on the wall but good otherwise. The cheap lil coffee maker was fine, but, despite the presence of countertop burners and a sink, there's a sign that says no cooking. The kitchenette's cabinets supported this because they were bare - no cups, no plates, no utensils. The room was spacious, and the TV was fine, though a bit small and with a remote that barely worked. The cable box was dangling on the wall, just hanging under the TV by the coaxial cables (why not go the distance of tucking that behind the set?). The only real downer, other than paying an additional $45 for my 14-lb dog (an anticipated fee) beyond the already high price (for value) was noise. You hear planes go right above, as the airport is quite near. That wasn't too bad actually. The biggest problem was that the walls are thin and people are inconsiderate. We had loud guests in every direction, banging, shouting, dropping F bombs, and slamming doors. I have no doubt the staff is nice, but the nouse issue alone will keep me from returning. Guests in these kinds of places don't always think beyond self.

This accommodation does not match what is advertised. The photos are entirely misleading. There is no air conditioning and it’s very warm& humid. The bathroom tiles were cracked and the bathtub drain plug did not function. The area did not feel safe at all. The sheets were clean and they had filtered clean water available are the only positive things I can report about this property.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Shower head placement is too low for room 215. No latch for front door.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Went while they were fixing their roof. So couldn't use balcony. It was hot in the room. Our phone didnt work properly as they couldn't hear us. Sheets had a hole on it.

It was extremely expensive considering that the facilities are in such a rough shape. Sliding door wasn’t even working. It smells and looks very outdated. Will not recommend staying here

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

This motel is rundown. It was depressing to stay there.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

The room smelled like paint and spackle. The tub was clogged and didn't drain after showering. The windows came off of the sliders and didn't secure properly, allowing anyone access to the room if they felt like breaking in. The pet fee was twice as much as other hotels. The wifi was unreliable and generally terrible, which is a problem because the cellular service in the area is poor at best.

This is a motel! Dirty floors, dirty room overall with splash stains on the fan, no air conditioning, stains on sheets, no sound on TV, no noise isolation - you can hear everyone next door walking, speaking. Music was playing half of the night in a next door room. I was not able to sleep. Overall a bad smell in the room. Very depressing room with dark color painted walls. Sleepless night. Staff were helpful and understanding.

I looked for a place that was dog friendly. Friendly would have been nice. The outdoor area had huge irrigation pieces standing way up in the air or snapped off entirely. It had random large objects and isn’t dog friendly. Also dog poops everywhere. They had only gardenia and hydrangea bushes low to the ground. Both poisonous to dogs. And leashes are not made for low bushes. They charged me three times what the room rate was, to stay with two small dogs. The alarm went off at twelve am. I did not set the alarm. No one made the beds and there was nothing on them to prevent it. Same fluff ball behind the toilet on the floor remained the whole visit. Girl at the front desk..was the grumpiest and most rude human on earth. I tried to explain upon checking in, that I had emailed them about my son having special needs and having to be on the bottom floor. She seemed super angry about it. Didn’t give us a room with handicapped parking. The parking was a free for all and filled up. She didn’t care. My room key didn’t work when I came back from driving to Big Sur. The young pup had chewed it the day before, but it worked all morning and night just fine. The girl said not to feed the key to my dog next time. Super pissed, and kept repeating it to me like I was a moron. I told her I most def didn’t give my dog the room key. Even when other guests came in behind me she still was yelling about the dang key. I’ve lost thousands of these keys. Charge me or shut up. It was so bizarre.
