Monterey Fairgrounds Inn

The room was not as described whatsoever. There were dirty sheets curtains and floors. We had to pay a quarter for ice. The price we paid to stay in this rundown space was disappointing and disgusting. I felt unsafe and did not even shower due to the cleanliness of the bathroom. I will never stay here

Just needed a place to stay near attractions. I appreciate i could check in late.

Pictures mean little so thus the review. The staff were really nice and great.I have no complaints about staff or treatment. They are excellent! If you are someone who likes clean to "look" clean, this isn't the hotel for you. The door gaps had sunlight showing all around after it was fully closed. The gap under the door was huge. The wall had a hole behind the door. Although the room smelled like PineSol, it was as clean as it was gonna get. With that said, athough I had reservations because looks are important to me and I was afraid to sleep in the sheets, I did and nothing bad occured.

Broken furniture, flooring, air conditioner. The room had one ceiling light near the window. The room was very dark. I was not expecting much in the first place but it was worse than that. However, the staff were wonderful and helpful.

Clean, great staff, enough parking and everything works inside room.

The staff was very helpful and nice, location great, love the environment, quiet and friendly, neat by restaurants, to the freeway, really accessible. We enjoyed it!

This place is a dump, looks like mold in bath room, tv only for pay, bed awful, terrible lighting, just don’t stay there, lots of nearby choiced

Furniture is so old. There is a cat under the bed. So crazy

Agradable estadía

The room was clean. Housekeeping only came once during our 1 week stay. There's plenty of parking. The guests next door were outside in front of their room smoking which caused smoke to come into our room. These rooms are non-smoking.

Room was very disappointing for the money. I have stayed at beautiful rooms with great amenities for same $. The furniture was old, chipped and not well placed in room cutting off a section of room. No phone, hangars, Bed thin matress. Homeless hanging around top parking lot, I was very uncomfortable. Very unhappy no refund . I chose not to stay and lost my $. I would not recommend.

It was, by far, the worst place I ever stayed in. The office staff was helpful and courteous when I asked to be moved to another room. The first room was far worse than the one described above. The owner or management of this motel should invest in fixing it up or close it. I felt totally ripped off by the experience.

The room was clean. Maid was very good. Pool was closed.

The bed was creaky and not soft.

Vending machines didn't work. They didn't have a barbecue pit by the pool. The bed was the worst bed I ever slept in in my life. It was old outdated

Extra charge for no reasons
