Baymont by Wyndham Monterey Park

The front desk representative, Walter, was wonderful! Super gracious and helpful with correcting a reservation mistake that I made. The hotel was basic but clean and new. We weren’t there long enough to use any amenities but the breakfast area looked clean and well stocked. The only inconvenience was the lack of cool ac on the 3rd floor hallway. The room was also hot and stuffy upon arrival and once the ac was turned on it struggled to maintain a comfortable temp. Great bed though!

The new room was an upgrade and noise levels were great, but unfortunately we found 3 dying roaches the next morning. I can tell they are not the food-loving kind but ones that like moisture. You can tell they recently sprayed the property as the roaches were on their way out. This is a great option for a budget hotel, with friendly staff and a yummy continental breakfast in the morning.

Marijuana smell almost every morning, boring breakfast as we spent 5 days here and every morning was the same breakfast served. Parking lot is underground and only 7ft tall.

There was a firefighter L.A. and the filter through thebAC did nothing as the room was got smoky and sometimes unbearable.

Everhing was good except there were noisy in the room up…

Front desk staff was great. Room could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Shower items were not restocked upon initial check in.

A very average hotel but the best thing about it is the breakfast. That’s very, very good. But the area isn’t wonderful and it has a very “lived in” feel - a little worn down. The room was so tiny. Two people can’t fit in the bathroom unless one is in the shower and there’s no space to walk in the room itself. The lady at check-in was so rude. But the man at check-out was very kind.

Average. Price high for the quality

I enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning. The cleaning staff is always very sweet and welcoming. Alex came off as rude and had an attitude during the check in process. The AC also had a weird smell coming from it when on.

Staff very helpful and friendly The smell in the room and the noise. We were moved to a different room because the first one had an unpleasant odor (it smelled like stale urine); the other room smelled bad too, though not quite as strongly as the first. The receptionist suggested it might be due to the air conditioning and said she would notify maintenance to change the filter—hopefully, that helped with the smell. I don't know if they actually checked it; we just had to put up with the bad odor. On top of that, it is impossible to sleep in this place. We were on the ground floor and could hear people in the hallway, the guests in the next room, and anyone walking on the floor above.

Breakfast was good more variety needed. Needs a little update looks a little outdated but it was comfortable.
