Cambria Hotel Mount Pleasant – Charleston

Very nice last minute booking. Clean, comfortable & nice location.

I have traveled enough around the US and the world, but I have never experienced a hotel with walls this thin. Staying in Room 103, I could clearly hear every word of conversation and the television from the next room all night. When I talked to the front desk at 3:00 AM, the staff member simply replied, “The only thing we can do is just let them know.” The neighboring TV stayed on loudly until 8:00 AM, making sleep completely impossible. Poor soundproofing combined with unhelpful night staff made this a very disappointing stay.

Hotel was clean and so was the room. The beds were comfortable and the bath towels were nice and thick. The pool wasn't anything special and the view from our window was of car parts and cars on bricks, but it wasn't a deal breaker. We'd stay again.

Very nice area, quiet, nice room. The room setup was perfect for me to complete work efficiently. My targeted area was Mt Pleasant itself so the convenience of the location was great for me. Loved the bathroom. My only complaint—the bed slept hot. I had to turn down the temp and not use the comforter so I could sleep comfortably. Overall, 4/5.

If you’re looking for a beautiful beach, is only about a 12-minute walk away using the public beach access. It’s an easy walk and definitely worth it. For an unforgettable sunset, I highly recommend visiting Shem Creek. It’s one of the best places in the area to watch the sunset, with great restaurants and a wonderful waterfront atmosphere. There are also plenty of restaurants, shops, and grocery stores nearby, making our stay even more convenient. We definitely recommend this hotel, and we’re already planning our next visit. We can’t wait to come back!

Reviews are correct, this place is exceptionally clean and in a very good location and easy to drive into Charleston for a visit. The rooms are super clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower could do with some pressure but it's a great hotel and I highly recommend. Parking was plenty and very secure. Mount Pleasant seems to be a very safe area.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cambria. Our room was very comfortable , spacious and clean. The staff cleaned and tidied up every day. The Keurig, refrigerator and microwave were a plus. Great location-Conveniently located across street from Walmart and shopping. Parking lot is well lit and ample space for parking for all. Reasonable pricing. As a female, I felt very safe coming and going. Only downside was that 1 of the 2 elevators was down. It wasn’t that inconvenient because other worked fine. We would definitely stay again!

We’ve stayed here several times over the past few years and the staff and hotel are excellent. All the staff we’ve interacted with have been friendly and professional. The rooms and common areas are well-maintained and clean. Another great experience.
