Shem Creek Inn

Location is excellent. The staff was extremely accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were nice. Most things were walkable from the hotel. Beautiful walkways down to the marsh from the property to the intercoastal waterway. We will definitely be back.

This property was everything. The view was spectacular. So convenient to restaurants shopping and more…. I highly recommend you to stay at this fantastic property.

Amazing stay right in the middle of it all. Room was clean. Pool was wonderful. Wish they offered daily room service. At the end of the stay the room was a little sandy. Breakfast was good. Nice choices. The vending machines in the stair wells have the best price on soda around. Skip the lobby beer and walk to the tiny market next door.

Location was great. Staff was great. Birds diving into the pool while we're in it. Maybe install an "invisible" fish line net above the pool to keep them out. We have seen these at other travel locations.

Loved everything about Shem Creek Inn! The location was perfect with a lot of restaurants within walking distance around the creek area! Loved walking the boardwalk every evening! Loved sitting on our deck and listening to the love music also!

The parking under the hotel was great at the beginning of week, but Thursday and Friday all the spots in shade were taken. The main disappointment was the breakfast. They did advertise as pick up and go which it was, basic cereal bowls, cheap muffins and pastries, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, yucky fruit cocktail- no other fruit choices Coffee was fine- kuerig coffee. It was clean area, just after 3 days of that wanted real breakfast!

My sister and I stayed there and we were both impressed by the attentiveness of the staff. Very responsive.

Loved it being right in the creek and convenience of the restaurants. Loved walking the docks over the marsh. Got to see a lot of dolphins also. And if you want to do a fishing charter most of them meet there.

The room had very little closet, storage space. Hooks inside and outside of the bathroom for towels and bathing suits, etc would've helped especially since there was plenty of empty wall space. The room was plenty cool, the bed and linens were great, and the shower was nice. The continental breakfast had a good variety. The staff were friendly. I would stay here again.

Love this property. Do your self a favor and make sure you stay long enough to enjoy all that it has to offer.
