It says on the website it was renovated. The rooms are horrible. Bathrooms worse. Stayed 3 days and house keeping came the day we were leaving. The water cut off for a couple of hours in the middle of the day. I went to the front desk because I didnt know and the older lady was rude about it, claiming they didn't know and it would only be about 45 min later. I paid a lot of money and should be able to shower and use the bathroom. They knew , and could have sent out a mass message or something. There is NO bowling alley, repeat no bowling alley. Don't believe everything on the site. Won't be going back again. Felt like I was deceived from the site.

Best thing I can say is the staff from the receptionists to the cleaners were super friendly. Parking was alright as well. Pools were kinda packed, but there were multiple so it was okay. The beach view is pretty good, but the price for 3-4 days is a little high for the condition of rooms on the 6th floor. There had to been a leak or small fire something of that manner because everything in the room was damp or moist. Other than that it was a decent stay.

I booked a room advertised as having a “partial ocean view,” but the room I received mostly faced the street and a grassy area, and I could not actually see the ocean. When I politely brought this to the manager’s attention, she responded in a rude and condescending way, telling me that I had paid to see “a little piece of the ocean” and that I got what I paid for. She then told me that an oceanfront room costs much more. It wasn’t just what she said, but the way she said it that made me feel belittled, as if she were implying that I could not afford a better room. I felt extremely uncomfortable, disrespected, and discriminated against. I cannot say for certain whether being Latina had anything to do with the way I was treated, but that is genuinely how the interaction made me feel. A guest should be able to respectfully ask a question about the room they booked without being treated this way. Unfortunately, because of the manager’s behavior, I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel.

The pictures aren’t what it is. For a cheap place that you don’t expect to stay in long or for young people it’s probably fine. No one looking for any amenities should stay here in it’s current form

Check-in was set at 4 PM yet. No rooms are ready. Also got charged an additional amount when checking in and could not get an itemized receipt for the amount that I was paid even though I asked multiple times

The pools was amazing. The Saturday night show was great as well. The Music was absolutely fantastic. Overall the stay was fun and good. Just kinda disappointed in the view of room and the way the one lady acted towards us at check-in.

I will never stay here again. When I got to my room it smelled like cigarettes and the bathroom was disgusting. We paid for an ocean view and we had a parking lot view. When I talked to the manager he asked me did I know the difference between ocean view and ocean front, as if I was not intelligent enough to know the difference. They don’t have a bowling alley yet although it’s mid summer and it advertised it would be ready. I’m telling you don’t spend your money here. They definitely need to upgrade their rooms and hire a better cleaning crew.

The front desk staff working that evening seemed inexperienced and unable to provide clear answers or resolve the situation efficiently, making an already frustrating experience even worse. The hotel is also undergoing significant construction inside and outside the property, something guests should be aware of. Pool towels were frequently unavailable, and the bartender/server we encountered wasn’t very friendly or welcoming. The positives were the oceanfront room we eventually received and the housekeeping and maintenance staff, who consistently kept the bathrooms and common areas clean. Captain Quarters has a great location, but the poor check-in experience, lack of communication, room readiness issues, and customer service overshadowed our stay. I’m still waiting for Expedia to receive a response from the hotel regarding compensation for the inconvenience.

We really liked the resort. I will say that when you pull up it looks like a very fancy resort, and the lobby matches. I really appreciate the secure parking garage as well. I am glad our room was on the 7th floor, but if you are disabled it would be advantageous to stay on floors 2-4 so you can park on the same floor as your room. The pools are nice, and the beach access is very convenient.

The property is ok! The pool outside was over crowded . The front desk never answers the phone so you have to come out the building to go to another building to get your towels etc or question answered. No room service ! I stood there for 42 min to ck in and the phone was ringing off the hook.. def need some changes as far as ck in and calling for a staff at the front desk. Maybe once checked in.. a customer should be provided a one time use per stay phone. Number to get in touch w someone

My family has stayed at this hotel the last 3 years. Usually it’s great and I have no complaints! This time was the complete opposite!! I booked a junior suite for my family with ocean view. This should have been 2 rooms. One with a king bed and one with a queen bed. That way my husband and I could have our time away from our children, as he works over the road and we only see him every 3 weeks or so. When we got to the hotel I went to check in as normal. I was then informed that the hotel has overbooked the room I had booked. So instead of the junior suite they downgraded my room to a standard 2 queen bed room with partial ocean view which was on the side of the building overlooking the neighboring hotel. I was very upset. Then they informed me they couldn’t give me any type of refund since I booked through a third party site, which isn’t fair. They gave me a $200 voucher to the Loco Gecko, which was also not the best and somehow magically was $205 before we tipped our server. They also didn’t charge me for parking, not sure how much that even should have been. So overall I overpaid for a standard double queen room and probably won’t book at this resort again.
