The Capitol Hotel Downtown, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Room was clean however to be called a Hotel i thought the rooms would have an interior entrance. The common spaces were not as clean as the room and the lobby elevator was broken. Did like that you had to use the room key to access upper floors via the garage elevator.

The check-in process was painful, room wasn’t ready on time.

Excellent breakfast, room was basic and clean, common areas old and in need of updating, great location

My only issue: there’s only 1 elevator and I was told there were no stairs which could potentially be a fire hazard.

Not a warm welcome at all. Receptionist was very indifferent!

This property is not a hotel, it is a MOTEL! The elevator was located outside, not air-conditioned, 5 floors and all doors opened to the parking lot!!! I would not feel safe walking to this Motel at night not to mention riding in this unsecured elevator to my room! I left the keys in the room and booked at a different property. Very disappointed with Expedia- trusted I was booking a nice Hotel room for what I paid! DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!! DO NOT TRUST THE PROPERTY DESCRIPTIONS!!!

No self parking so valet parking at $40 per night is expensive. So no tip, sorry guys

Clean efficient room, with good bathroom. Nothing fancy. Nice name, but nothing ascending about this hotel except extremely friendly staff. Lobby is stark. Older style hotel with many external walkways, although our room was on an interior hallway. Great location which makes the $$ appropriate value. Contrast this to many beautiful but much more expensive hotels nearby. Beware of parking fees as this is a $$ thing for most of Nashville.

King or suite was tiny. Barely enough room to walk around the bed.

This hotel is conveniently located just a few blocks from Broadway and offers good value for the price when compared to more expensive options in the area. While it was not exceptional, we enjoyed a comfortable night of sleep and a satisfactory breakfast. The valet service costs $70 per night including tip, which is more convenient and cost-effective than nearby parking garages. We stayed for only one night, but for a longer visit, I would likely choose a more upscale and comfortable establishment.

First time there but very pleased

Room was clean and staff were very nice . Set up strange , you get in an elevator outside of the property to get to your room. It's more like a motel .
