Motel 6 New Braunfels, TX

Nothing 2nd time staying here and each time the pool was out of service there was roaches stained sheets ac didn’t work in the first room had to get switched to another room

Corner room away from people… shower was surprisingly decent. Available extremely last minute as I needed some place to sleep from all day driving and it was late… yet couldn’t sleep at all from all the noise the room. Location, worried vehicle would be broken into all night, ac rattling the entire night, scratching noises by refrigerator, broken tile floor, room smelled horrible:

You pay for what you get. But there is roaches. Stains on the sheets. But other than that it’s a bed to lay on.

As the old saying goes. "You get what you pay for..." however I stayed in better places in Iraq and Afghanistan. The door could be opened with an ID card, there was no safety latch, TV didn't work, was very dirty in and out of the room. I don't blame the staff, I blame the owner and corporate figures. You see the reviews and comments but you continue to let things stay bad. I checked out early. Do better.

Roach infested room, would not recommend booking here regardless of price

Then to add to the disappointment of the room, the toilet in the 1st room we stayed in didn't work. We tried to fix it ourselves but the lid on the tank did not fit properly and fell off, shattering into several pieces. The 3rd day the toilet in the 1st room began spraying water out of the tank all over the floor in the bathroom and we had to pack up and move upstairs to a different room. For what I paid, I was expecting better accommodations and I definitely will be asking to get at least 1 night free for the inconveniences we experienced during the stay at this hotel. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Location to where I was going. Wow....well the room had a lot of damage. I have pictures. The toilet was not attached to the floor. Second day when I came back to the room there was food in my bathroom sink...it looked like an adjacent room vomited and their chunks appeared in my sink....also and I think biggest security risk is that that that outside door closest to the 100 Wing stair well does not need a room key to enter! The outside door that does not pass front desk opens at all times of day with no key card!

Hotel was old but ok. Pool was clean and maintained. It was indoors so that was great. Rest of the stay it was closed which was inconvenient being Labor Day weekend but oh well. Ac worked good in room. Restroom was clean and the parking lot was well lit which helped keeping our jet ski safe. For a last minute booking it worked for us. No toiletries but soap so take your own shampoo and stuff. I took extra towels from home which worked for me.

The property is very tired. My room was clean but dreadful. The television didn't work the door jam didn't have a good seal on it so I could hear everybody walking by the unit was a "handicap" unit so the tub did not even have a shower showerhead and it's been many years since I've had to take a bath, and I barely fit in the tub. as a senior citizen, it was also very difficult to get out of the tub once I was seated The people were very nice and very accommodating, but it was just a really old old old old old Motel 6. I also felt the parking was very sketchy. The parking lights are out in many cases and there's dark corners and there's abandoned cars and it looked just very sketchy and I was worried about you know the few things I had in my truck. I took most things back into the room just to be careful but still a windshield or a glass is expensive. Fortunately, nothing happened. this facilities extremely old and hasn't been renovated in decades. Grills were dirty. There were roof leaks. The carpet was stained. The lighting was awful, but the air conditioner worked well and the bed was comfortable.

Place was infested with roaches. Killed about 10 roaches. Had to sleep with the lights on & the roaches still kept coming out. Mattress looked dirty. You could see hair, debris, and what looked like dead bugs through the fitted sheet. Also the gaps between the door and doorway didn't make it feel very safe either.

Nothing good happened in this stay. Roaches everywhere, loud people screaming at you at 1am, and people trying to fight the staff.
