We had a great stay, very clean room, & friendly staff. We love that there was no carpet in the room & they had premium shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion in the bathroom. 10/10.

The hotel received better ratings than it deserves, imo. I knew this was an older hotel and that was fine. The pictures of the rooms looked good and the main part of the room looked as it does in the photos. The bathrooms were not up to my expectations. It was not recently remodeled. The tile was cracked and the shower faucet was set up incorrectly so that they put STICKERS on the shower to indicate hot and cold. The staff was friendly and helpful but they won't be seeing me again.

They charged me $30 to check in two hours early, the receptionist was very unpleasant but maybe she was having a bad day! I would never recommend a hotel as unclean as this!

Upon our arrival into our room, a very strong smell of urine met us at the door. It turned out that the toilet was not flushed and urine was all over the toilet seat and floor. In addition, the towels hanging on the racks were folded but not clean. The entire room has not been swept nor vacuumed, and the bed sheets were wrinkled, dirty, and had stains of what looked like blood. Needless to say, we called the Front Desk and asked for either a different room, or for Housekeeping to come up clean the entire room while we went out for dinner. By the time we got back from dinner, the Bathroom issues were taken care of but not the rest of the room. We called for a different room, but they were booked solid. We had to wait for over an hour for Housekeeping to come and finish the rest of the cleaning. Never Wingate again for us!

The room was dirty and not cleaned at all. The bed had a brown wallet sized stain on it and the management only let me get new sheets and no comforter. They also refuse a refund for the poor service. I heavily recommend somewhere else to stay

Very clean and very good location. H-E-B, Costco, Best Buy and plenty restaurants nearby. Large rooms and some with dining table. Modern looking and plenty of parking. Awesome (hot) breakfast.
