Hotel is near restaurants, HEB, shopping center and fast food. It’s off I-35 and in the middle between San Marcos and San Antonio. The hotel is clean and the room was clean and it did not have a smell like other older hotels. I stay here every time I have to visit San Marcos.

Great shower head but not mold in the bath tub tile . Noisy AC …not a restful night. Never again !

Room was so-so in cleanliness. The surfaces had been swept and dusted, but you could tell a general dinginess on the walls that hadn't been updated or cleaned. Tiles were cracked in the floor of the room and bathroom in places. Hotel provided shampoo/conditioner/body wash, but they mounted them on the wall directly to the side when you're standing under the shower head. Just a general state of "get this done without thinking it through." I was constantly bumping them. (I'm an average-sized guy) The AC was COLD! This plus the sheets were clean and the price made an overnight stay quite tolerable. There was an additional fan on a stand in the room as well. We did not have time for pool/whirlpool, but did overhear other guests commenting favorably about the whirlpool. The continental breakfast was par. Not bad...nothing to write home about either though. Not bad for one night, wouldn't stay for multiples.

Near the venue. Carpet old, did not want to walk barefoot, furniture old not clean. For the price should have nicer.

Trash truck woke us up early in the morning as well as sirens twice. Too close to the road and noisy. Not recommended. Nice enough place, just too noisy.

This property is in serious need of updates and repairs. Dirty baseboards, grout in bathroom and around tub. Water smells like rotten eggs, so I suspect it needs a new water purification system.
