A really lovely stay in New Orleans, love this B&Bs charm and warmth.

The quirkiness and coziness of this Bed and Breakfast are all part of its charm. Chez Palmiers host Betsy was gracious friendly and welcoming. Her sense of whimsy and joy extends throughout every element of the house - from food presentation to decor. There is a poolside mural on the fence that depicts the story of Chez Palmier - which she started with her late husband. Their love story is inspirational and shows in small intimate touches without intrusion. I struggled a bit with the antique doors and keys, especially after an evening enjoying music and cocktails on Frenchmen Street, just steps away.

Literally every facet of our stay was perfect. Betsy made us feel at home, with special touches to make it one of the most memorable places we've ever stayed. A perfect location for exploring by foot, we can't wait to go back! N/A

We couldn't have asked for a better experience for our first time in New Orleans. We stayed at Betsy's B&B for 4 nights over New Years and it was wonderful. It's a little oasis just a 10 minutes walk from Frenchman Street area. We stayed in the British room which was impeccably decorated and nice space. The bed was really comfortable. We had a fridge and coffee maker in our room but also access to snacks and water at our leisure. Betsy greeted us with an offering of sparkling wine and was kind enough to let us check in earlier. She also gave us great recommendations to enjoy non touristy aspects of New Orleans. We felt right at home. It wasn't warm enough to use the pool but we would have if we were there in the warmer months. If you don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter but close enough to walk there and to Frenchmen Street jazz clubs, this is your place. We LOVED it. Betsy and her adorable dog Mabel are the best hosts! Highly recommend. Nothing.

Coffee in coffee hot bottle is ok. One home made cake/bread/cookie (changes by day) is provided. Others are some cut fruits and cereal cups. Some fruits in a wire basket. We just picked a couple of small oranges. Banana and apples are not fresh. Hot water is provided in hot bottle. We didn't really read the prescription about the breakfast, though. Breakfast. Shower unit is also too narrow I think. My wife and I are Chinese and also not big body built personnel.

Charming, small B&B with everything a traveller needs and a bit more. The bed I slept in was comfortable and the bathroom had many toiletries provided including shower gel. Everything was wonderful from our greeting to the fresh continental breakfast with good coffee. My partner and I stayed in the large queen suite on the ground floor which had it's own sitting room adjacent to the bedroom. My friend took the queen bedroom right next door to us. The large room was clean and (apart from loud car stereos) was mostly quiet. Split cycle air conditioning was installed in both rooms in the queen suite as well as ceiling fans. A bar fridge stocked with a few alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks was complimentary, as was the bowl of fruit and other snacks out in the dining area. The pool was certainly welcome after a days sightseeing in the heat and humidity and extra towels are provided. My only criticism is the property is located along a popular road and on any given night but especially late on a Saturday night, many drivers in NOLA appear to have an obsession with driving with their stereos booming late at night. Not technically the accommodations fault, just unfortunate. But this is my only complaint. That and the fact I only stayed there 2 nights but I could have easily stayed a week.

I spent one week in Betsy's B&B and had a fantastic time. It is a cozy place to discover New Orleans by foot and also allows you to relax at the backyard area with the pool at the same time. Especially, Betsy was very welcoming and a great host by preparing self-baked pastries for breakfast and offering conversations and local recommendations. Highly recommend to stay there!

Wonderful stay! Absolutely charming little nook near various attractions, Betsy was a warm and welcoming host that was fun to chat with, and her dog, Mable, was a such a cutie! The room was comfortable and had anything we might need, breakfast was varied and fulfilling, it was a nice spot to return to after a day’s worth of activities for sure. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the city!
