Only thing I can say is the bed was too hard, had back pain but still was a great room.

The groundskeeper was amazing. Loved the extras in the kitchen and the pool/hot tub were so relaxing

Historic mansion! Beautiful! Janice the manager was a dream! You can touch the highway overpass while in the pool. Crazy and shameful that they built the highway overpass this property. I am assuming it has historical protection and is the reason it wasn’t torn down. But it is a wonderfully quirky hotel and the highway adds to its quirkiness! I loved my stay. Janice is the best!

The property is very comfortable and welcoming. It has a very homey vibe to it. Great for solo travelers as well bc of the communal spaces. Janis, the host, was amazing- she told me to make myself at home and that’s exactly what I did. She was incredibly accommodating for any request. They were also wonderful about my dogs which was a huge plus for me. The Only thing I didn’t like about the property was the location. There are no close stores but you are very close to magazine st if that’s appealing.

The accommodations from the staff were above and beyond! We stayed in the white room and the decor gave a light bright and clean feeling while still having a a taste of New Orleans.

Beautiful little place! Such lovely amenities! The sheets and pillow covers oddly smelled like sweat at first? We couldn’t tell if it was the humidity or maybe an odd laundry detergent smell.

The staff is amazing. Always. Also love the comfort of the bnb. Such a gem. WiFi was down, not as clean as I expected.

This was such a great stay in a historic building. Everything was clean, comfortable, and full of character. The hot tub was clean. The wifi was spotty even after they fixed it. Didn't work most of the time. Wasn't a big deal for us because we were mostly outside. Also, there was no normal water whatsoever. Everytime we open the tap it was hot water, no matter which way you turn it. The plumbing wasn't in a good state as the flush and draining system were quite slow. Having said that, the biggest problem is the check-in and check-out timings. I don't understand what is happening with some of the properties like this one. The check in is at 4 PM and check out is at 10 AM. What's next? Check in at 5 PM and check out at 9 AM? This is becoming absurd day by day.

The owner and staff were so responsive to our request not to be in a room upstairs. Our room was just two steps away from the kitchen and was reasonably priced. We would definitely stay there again. Walkable to many good places to eat and drink. You have to see the shower to believe it. We were in the Red Room and the shower was impressive. Janice showed us a great place to park - so generous. If you are not a fan of cold air conditioning (French people... Talking to you) this is not bad at all. The air conditioning was not super cold, but the staff gave us some tips for maximizing the efficiency of the window unit. Next time we book we will choose something cooler. This place is not for you if you expect a Four Seasons or Grand Hotel experience. The clientele ranged from a couple from Britain to an assortment of bohemian characters.

It was a perfect area. Loved the older mansion atmosphere. I loved the home itself, it was exactly what I expected. There was some guests that did not pay to stay and were staying with other guests. They were very unclean and were taking advantage of Janis. Eating our things left in kitchen. The television isn’t large enough for the room.

The place was beautiful! Felt safe in the area as a young woman. The bagels were good. The shower was very neat and I enjoyed the mirror lights. Mini fridge was nice. Contactless check in and check out was a bonus! - Ran out of toilet paper. Contact one of the host. They said they would get some. Never did. Had to go to their emergency stash. - Had to take out own garage. - cockroach found in room - keurig didn't work - The cream cheese for the bagels was used regular cream cheese. Individual packets or even spreadable cream cheese would of been a lot nicer.

I asked the manager/owner to change my room and pay the extra amount, she didn’t bother to reply back to me. Our room was awful, it smelled awful and location was right behind the freeway and was noisy!

I didn’t realize the toilet was just open in the room and there wasn’t a separate bathroom. I also didn’t see that the shower was outside.
