Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans

Service is fantastic here!

We showed up to a dirty room. It had red wine on the sheets, makeup on the windows and walls, no soap in the shower. It took 3 housekeeping trips to get it clean and they still never changed the sheets. Sheets smelled like perfume all night. I called housekeeping 3 times and called the front desk while onsite. The next day I sent three emails to ask for a manager. So far, no one at all has responded. The house keeper left the master key to the hotel on the bed as well, the one that opens all the guest rooms. This should concern someone. I understand honest mistakes. But with no one willing to assist with a legitimate customer complaint, that’s concerning as a customer. Hotel is nice and rooms are well appointed otherwise. I would expect the service to match the brand name.

There were some small issues that I don't expect at a 5 star hotel. The pool was at capacity and there was no solution offered: i wish there was a scheduled option. The in-room fridge was inoperable and there were flickering light bulbs in our room.

We had a lovely stay. Staff at front desk (Marie) were amazing. Concierge was very helpful. Young woman at pool was very attentive. Our room was spacious. We really loved the chocolate covered strawberries with the Happy Anniversary note. That was very special. The bathroom was wonderful with big tub and shower. Occitane products so very nice! Love having a magnifying mirror and thick robes. We were a little nonplussed when we first checked in to find an open packet of antibiotic cream left on the room table and our ice bucket full of half melted ice. The window is small but I get that this was once a World Trade Center office building. There was one server at the pool who was quite rude to me when I had pushed my lounge chair too far into the sun and impeded her being able to pass. I wanted to have a drink at the chandelier bar but the freezing AC temp was a deterrent. We sat down in some arm chairs one evening and waited for 15 minutes while staff walked by and didn’t acknowledge our presence or take our order. So we left.
