Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Canal St. French Quarter

Well recommend nice and clean place to stay.

The room was clean and cold. That’s all I usually care about. Overpriced, but it is what it is. The reason I’m leaving a review is there is a real safety issue when arriving to this hotel in the evening. We arrived around 9-pm and parked in the garage next to the hotel. We thought the garage was connected, it was not, and it took us checking every floor of the garage and calling the front desk to figure out we had to exit the garage and walk to the hotel. We went to the closest entrance on the side of the hotel where it is dark, sketchy and no security in sight and the door was locked! We then dragged our luggage to the front of the hotel and find the front door locked also! We are standing in front of a hotel banging on the front doors to let us in before we are robbed. The girl who let us in could care less and the guy at the desk (that I already talked to on the phone) never provided an explanation of why the doors were all locked with nobody monitoring them or no signs in the garage telling you where to go. He did say he would talk to the manager about it but we never heard back from anybody.

No problems occured and for that I am greatful. I was blindsided by the $25 per night parking but I survived. The breakfast will hold you until you get to a resturant.

Nice hotel, love the security being there at all times in the lobby.

Hampton Inn on Canal is a great hotel, great location easy to get around town from there. Clean site with great staff who were helpful.

We had to ask for clean towels the second day of stay even though it was greed upon at check in. When we asked housekeeping whom was on the floor she stated we had to go down stair and request clean towels and tissue to be left in room. The man at the counter was not very pleasant when asked. When we came back to our room a couple of hours later the towels and tissue were placed by the tv and the old towels were still on the floor in the bathroom.

very tentative staff. I appreciated the ease of check-in and check-out. Breakfast was delicious and lots of options. Overall, Hampton suites and Inns is my preferred stays when I go out of town.

Cost of snacks and room temperature was hard to regulate.

Great location!!! It seems they use satellite tv. We tried to watch the Alabama game and the tv just kept buffering. But other than that it was a perfect stay.

Close to center of attractions. Pay for parking.

Todo muy bien, el servicio del front desk bueno, nos guardaron los bultos para poder seguir compartiendo en la ciudad aunque ya habíamos hecho check out, lo único es que el desayuno no estaba muy bueno, muchas cosas no tenían sabor y estaba frio, y los bagels con hongo!

Love how old this hotel is. They have done a wonderful job restoring it but also keeping the original charm and character. This was our second time staying here!!
