At this point we’re scared because the people could’ve hurt us for trying to get in the room and I have my 10 and 5 year old. The front desk guy says,” I need to call the police as homeless are in these rooms 🤔, I’m so embarrassed I’m so sorry.” I proceeded to tell him we needed a refund(which he did) and I booked another hotel as fast as I could. Hotels. Com has yet to hear from me regarding this hotel. The scare and the inconvenience for my family was on another level. don’t STAY HERE

The staff were all kind and friendly, and they were able to help me with getting my a/c to blow very cold, and stay that way. I loved the location, as far as having several bus stops and a trolly stop in close walking distance. However, I think it's time for a total upgrade. I haven't used an actual key to open a hotel door in years. My TV didn't work for 1 day and a half into my stay, due to internet connection issues. I hurt my toes several times on that rod iron bed, and the ripped shower curtain and shower head left me wanting to take a bird bath.

Nice staff I stay here a lot. Hotel needs an upgrade because it is really a convenient location to A grocery store and the Quarter.

The hotel is really old as the name says historic but I wasn’t expecting it to be in so bad condition, was given a room first that was pretty big but the ac unit located on top of the mirror sink was leaking and the wall was stained, they left a dirty towel on top of the sink to hold the water, i was so tired after driving 91/2 hrs that didn’t said anything but when we got ready to go out pass by the front desk and told the guy the situation and he helped when we came back that night, he went to the room and said oh no this room has a leak why the put you here and offered to change us. I said yes, well I feel I should’ve said no cause the second room was way smaller than the first one and super old and run down smelling like it wasn’t used in a long time it was really bad but I said we’re not here that long and just suck it up. The front desk people were super nice the check in lady was very sweet and friendly and the night shift guy was really nice and tried to help changing the room which I appreciate. They say there’s parking in the description but the parking is just street parking not an actual parking lot or garage luckily there was a space available most of the time. The place is cute but needs a lot of maintenance and the area don’t help much either

Nice stay!

Excellent staff, they do what they can with the property. Our room had three A/C units but none of them were working. Dusty and squeaky ceiling fans. One bed had a broken leg.

The only thing pleasing about the property was the staff at the front desk. Other than that this place was scary.

The young lady at checkin was excellent, very helpful and personable. The nicest person I met in NOLA. Rooms are old and was too be expected. That being said the window ac units could use and upgrade a one of the family rooms was uncomfortably warm. And in the other room the older grandson was finding pills on the floor, they were immediately flushed in the toilet.

This is more like a cheap motel than a hotel/inn. The walls are thin, the room is clean enough but not spotless. The room I stayed in needs new paint on the walls because I could see where bleach had been sprayed on the walls. But like many places in New Orleans, budget options are old and have lots of character.
