Hotel de la Monnaie, French Quarter

Liked/ loved the location. Disliked the furnishings and dated conditions of the unit stayed in. Da Quana was absolutely fantastic!

The best thing about the property was its location - near the French market and jazz clubs. Historic building. In need of updating. Our I bedroom efficiency gave us some privacy and cooking options that a regular hotel room would not have afforded

Great location, most everything was in easy walking distance. Staff was extremely polite and helpful. This was our 4th stay, has always been an enjoyable experience.

It's an older place, but the location can't be beat. We had a great time here.

Loved this hotel. Perfect location. Only issue is the wading pool needed cleaned.

Great room with kitchenette. Clean beds, nice shower. 2 packages of coffee waiting for the coffee maker in the morning. I will come and stay again.

From the time we got here til the minute we left this place has been nothing short of amazing. Such friendly staff, the place is well kept and comfortable. Will definitely come back here again soon.

The location near Frenchman Street, Decatur Street and the French Market was very convenient. Our room faced Esplanade Avenue, which also faces the train tracks. I arrived at the hotel late from the airport and was just falling asleep when the train horns woke me up in the middle of the night. You hear train horns all through the day and night. The blinds on the windows facing the street did not close, so when it got light in the morning the light came right into the room. The other blinds facing the courtyard were in very bad shape too. The drain in the tub drained very slowly, so when you showered there was ankle-deep water right away. The AC in the main bedroom is also in need of maintenance. I had it set at 68 degrees and it was right across from the bed, and it was not pushing out 68 degree air. I don't know if this unit was privately owned or owned by the property, but it is in need of some TLC.

No breakfast. Trolley easy to reach food locations Mold in the bathroom and in the Jacuzzi jets when we turned it on. The bath mat in the tub was slimy and stained. I had to go to the front desk to ask for some cleaner.

We loved the older, New Orleans feels of the hotel. It is located 2 blocks from the French Market and close enough to everything else to walk. For these reasons, we really loved it. The staff was very friendly. I rated lower because our room smelled of stale smoke and it took several requests for the staff to address it.

This is a decent place and I would stay here again. It’s a good location for exploring the French Quarter by foot. The rooms are pretty dated but comfortable. Parking is first come first served and on weekends you should plan to park on the lot behind the hotel. It’s $28 a day.

It was very well kept. Court yard was beautiful. Room was huge and Suzanne was awesome!!!! We had a whole situation @ another hotel & had to do a rebook on the spot and Suzanne at the desk went out of her way to get us going. NA

Quaint decor. Not well maintained. It is an old property that needs some updates and maintenance. The chrome towel rack and bath fixtures were rusted. The toilet seat was unsecure. The a/c unit leaked. Parking options are extremely limited.
