Saturday night unfortunately a transformer exploded and there was a fire, literally on our hotel street. This was a bit after 1030pm I believe. By the time we came back to try to get in our hotel at 2am- the doors were locked. Yes, the power was out everywhere- that wasn’t my issue. People returning to our hotel after midnight, we didn’t know what to do!!! NO ONE WAS THERE!!!! Front doors were locked!!! There was no note left on door for guests. Luckily we went across the street to Royal Sonesta and they sent us over to our sister property. There were no rooms available and they let Marais guests all sleep in the conference rooms was what we were told. We opted to go back to Royal Sonesta and pay for a room as one of us had to get up in 4 hours to drive back to Atlanta. I was very disappointed that we were only offered a free breakfast that morning. We weren’t even offered a late check out like others we spoke to. It was a comfortable stay and the location was the highlight.

Staff was great! Air conditioning worked great! Room was serviced perfectly every day!
-
Everything overall was pretty great…. We’ll likely stay here again.

Rooms weren't the cleanest. Splatter on walls and mold in bathrooms. Bar was fine. Pool area was cute. Staff was friendly.

This building is very old, and much accommodations you would get at other hotels are not here. I met 2 women and one guy while here, and the service has been great by the two women alone. The king room I got at 508 feels dirty. Even after a shower, it's not a great feeling after. I personally do not drink, I do not use drugs or smoke. If someone does use these substances, then maybe the spot is best for that type of life. Lots of homelessness, public drug use, drunks, horrible smells, and prostitution in this area. It's best to go to a place outside French Quarters such as Magazine Street.

Great hotel
-
Perfect location, rooms are updated and nice, staff pleasant, and pool is small but relaxing

It is always a great stay at the Marais! Quiet, but right in the heart of the Quarter. Pierre at the front desk always makes sure that you have everything you need for your stay; he goes above and beyond every time!

The room was clean! The staff was friendly and helpful! Since the Hotel Le Marais is right off Bourbon Street, there are plenty of things to do and places to eat. Copper Monkey (next door) was an awesome bar: great po'boys, open very late! My room's windows had protective plastic covers over them; didn't hear any of the loud music from Bourbon Street at night. The pool was so calm, relaxing and cooling during the hot, humid days. It was rarely crowded.

-
Great place to stay, right in the French Quarter. 1/2 a block from Bourbon. It does get a little loud at night from Bourbon St. The place is clean; the staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
-
Elevator was slow and sketchy, bar wasn’t open and no coffee in rooms
-
Very helpful staff. Property was clean and very well maintained.
-
Nice hotel, great location of this proximity between Royal Street and Bourbon Street. All the fun, but quiet.

It was amazing as always!

Location, location, and location. The Hotel was located 800 feet from the famous Bourdon Street. Great restaurants abound and the hotel itself was extremely comfortable. The have a nice bar, swimming pool and lobby. I will stay there again.
