I stayed here 7 here’s ago for my birthday and I came back for my birthday. I do wish I had a balcony but it’s ok. It gave me the classic New Orleans vibe just as it did the first time. It’s an old building so don’t expect it to be extravagant, if you’re looking for a true New Orleans stay this is the place to be. Very simple, quiet and relaxing. Very close to Jackson square, bourbon and just about everything else.

We were on the 3rd floor had extremely heavy suitcases and were not aware of no elevator. We had to walk up 3 flights of stairs with our suitcases. The building is very old. Chipped wood and rusted metals inside the rooms. Our main light did not work. I would not recommend for comfort but if you love 3 min walking distance to everything in the French Quarter it’s ok

This quaint private hotel has great rooms with old time but updated charm & amenities. Love the balconies that over look the pool. They are each private so you can leave doors open & be as free as you want.
-
Good central location except that the room faced the back of Omni Hotel with noisy garbage trucks every single morning at 3AM.
-
While the hotel itself was great, the location is not. We had a street side balcony room, which may have been the issue. The omni royal hotel is across the street and they had their dumpsters emptied at 4 am. The hotel is also between restaurants and they get their food deliveries early in the AM. We bought earplugs so it was fine, but just be aware that it is LOUD. Everything else was great

The best location and would definitely stay here again.

Very nice, clean and super secure location was perfect nearby parking. The only downside was there was no microwave or ice machine available, but I would still definitely recommend and would book again in the future.

The room was very nice. The ice maker did not work. I dislike not having a receptionist. If you needed towels there was no one to talk to at all. Everything is done over the phone, which I don’t like.

The room was dirty; there was a corner that had a lump of accumulated dirt, there were cobwebs. There was no staff, No one was ever around; only one towel for a 5 day stay. There was one packet of microwave able popcorn but no microwave. There were two packets of coffee but no filter. On our third night , we made an initial call at 5:30 pm because the heat was not working, called again at 8:30. A handyman came at 10:30, with a fan! He was told something was wrong with the air conditioner. A sweet person who said he just began his shift and didn’t know anything about the heating system. Fortunately we were able to get it to work after figuring out the instructions and tricks. You can’t make this up! We paid extra for a balcony and the table was filthy and one of the two flimsy chairs was torn. The bed took most of the space up and you had to squeeze through to get to the sides. And our 4th day, there was “poop” on the balcony..:have no idea where it came from. The customer service reps were polite (in the Philippines) but had a fixed script and never deviated. What a horrible place!

Hot water was long in coming.

The balcony was worth every single dime spent! Stayed in room 302. Will stay again.

LOcation was best part. I felt pretty secure. Bed was good. EVerything worked as intended. There was a leak in the bathroom which made noise sometimes. The rug kept folding everytime door opened. Nothing substantial.

Chartres St. is fun due to wedding parades passed below our balcony daily, once 4 times Saturday evening. Location was very convenient to restaurants, Jackson Square, Bourbon St, Canal St, trolley cars, the Aquarium and French Market. Used the onsite pool. This was the first time I had stayed at non contact hotel. Likely I won’t do that again. Contact via text message was satisfactory, yet housekeeping staff hadn’t supplied toilet paper, coffee cups, and took three days before that and fresh linens and towels were dropped off at the room. On site supervision could improve the stay.
-
Location No staff on hand for issues. Coffee maker and coffee in the room, but no coffee cups. Only one set of towels for a 5 day stay, no one to ask for fresh towels. Sound of every door in hall closing sounds like slamming at all hours.
-
I like that it was in the center of everything There was no toilet paper, the room did not look like in the pictures where we booked
-
The property was close to Bourbon Street and Canal, with many things within walking distance Couldn’t get into the building, couldn’t get into our rooms. The door codes that were provided did not work, had to call customer service and be transferred 5 times before someone helped us. The room smelled like mold and piss and was dirty. Cigarettes butts on the balcony, floor not swept or mopped, air conditioning didn’t work. Only half roll of toilet paper was in bathroom so had to go out and get toilet paper in case we ran out
-
They sent clear check in, instructions, however the entry codes didn’t work for anyone, not just my room. It took a little bit, but we finally got inside to a nasty room, with half a roll of toilet paper.
-
Three minute walk to Burboun st., three minute walk to Jackson square and a short distance to Decatur. The room was clean, ready on time and just big enough for us. The entry code to get into the lobby as well as our room did not work. The off-site management did help rectify the situation. Problem was we arrived an hour early and our room was ready, but we weren't given access to it until 4pm. At that point we struggled to get in the lobby and then waited until 4 to not be able to access our room. We did email a request for early access when we booked, but never got a response. If we didn't have these issues we would have rated them higher.

There was no breakfast. Everything. Filthy, moldy, dirty towels, rusty soap holders, no blankets, dirty floors, only 3 hangers one half roll of toilet paper, overpowering smell of mold, sheet on top of comforter, could go on and on

Location is fantastic. The pool in the courtyard is lovely although a bit chilly. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. A little tough to get in but the help desk was quick and gave us a new code.
