Bienville House

Great location off Bourbon Street which was an advantage to avoid the noise. Close to waterfront and Bourbon St. Parking was very pricey but the parking attendant was very attentive when we needed our car. The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious and very clean.

First time staying at a boutique hotel and it was wonderful. The room was so nice and comfortable and the air conditioning did not disappoint. The front desk staff on both shifts were the friendliest people ever! The power went out in the French Quarter while my daughter and I were there and they walked us up to our room with flashlights to make sure we got in safely and offered guests cold water while they waited in the lobby. This is a perfect location near everything including the trolley, boat rides, casino, and French Market. It’s also a nice and quiet place to stay. The only drawback is the doors to the bathroom do not allow any privacy as far as sound. You will hear everything that is going on in the bathroom!

Fantastic location in French Quarter. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. The beds were real comfy. Spotless room. The coffee provided in the morning was tasty. Loved this hotel. Want to stay again.

Very good stay in the heart of the French Quarter. Near good music bars and a fantastic Korean fusion restaurant called Sun Chong.

This was a lovely hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. The room was really nice, very clean, roomy bathroom, and great AC (it was quite hot while we visited). The lobby seating area was nice, but they could do a better job of keeping the cold water stocked- over the few days we were there, every time I tried to get a cup of water, the container was empty. The lobby and elevator were also quite warm, but the room was cool. This hotel was less noisy than other places we have stayed in the French Quarter, although there was still late night street noise. We stayed in a suite, and I was surprised that there were no towels, napkins, tissues, or a trashcan near the kitchenette area. Having said that, there were plenty of coffee pods and creamers. Overall, a lovely place to stay, and we would book here again.

Location was excellent. Price was reasonable. Check in was disappointing (room was not ready until a half hour after check in time). Valet parking was horrible. Wait time was over an hour upon check out, which negatively impacted our travel that day. Hotel seems to have a problem with front desk support (frequent absences / not answering the phone), maid service (rooms not ready), and valet service (one valet to support off-site parking).

Great quiet spot close to bourbon st! Definitely recommed.

Nice room and balcony

Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, loved the valet service. Tiki bar on site was incredible, excellent food a cocktails and the most welcoming staff. Air conditioning throughout the building was great but did cause some condensation in the room.

This is not normal compared to any place I have been before and very disorganized.

I stayed at the Bienville House many nights back in the 80s and 90s. I was hoping to experience the same sort of hospitality that I have in the past. I was very disappointed. The valet and the front desk were nonchalant and disinterested in making any sort of positive impression. The location is great but that's about all the nice things I can say about the BH these days. I will give them another try one day.

Every thing was great

The location of Bienville House is perfect. Bourbon Street is close and very walkable. Cafe du monde is on the same street and very close, as is the French Market. Odd thing was they had no washcloths. We asked at the front deck and they were going to try to find some to bring up to our room. Instead they came up with four additional bath towels. We ended up using a hand towel as a washcloth.

Well kept place. Very charming, clean, friendly staff. Bed was comfortable and slept great.
