I had a great stay!! It's close to everything & still fat enough away to have some peace, loved the pool & the staff was super sweet!
-
Swimming pool is nice and parking available. Rooms are cute. Very nice staff.

The property was clean and we really liked the gated parking lot.

I liked that it was gated, it had a nice relaxing closed in pool. The water was warm and clean. The room was nice sized, clean came with all you need for a comfortable stay. 4 complementary waters were provided and coffee with coffee machine. This was a nice stay 10/10. No microwave.

My partner and I stayed 3 nights, and it was great. The parking spot we had was a little annoying since it was right next to the gate and the office (this spot in particular made it a little annoying). The only other thing is that we needed to mess with the inside of the toilet since it wasn't flushing but we resolved that issue. Everything else was great, room and restroom were clean and organized, and the location was amazing. There are so many good spots nearby and they even have a pamphlet with some local businesses on it!

This was my 2nd time staying at the iris motel and I was deeply disappointed by one problem. I will say the location is great and the renovated rooms are very nice. The room was cleaned very well. Again I’ll say that the parking lot is not great. If you have a large vehicle do not park here unless it’s not busy when you’re staying. The one problem I had was that the toilet was not working properly. This was an issue because I had to fill the tank with water (using the trash bin) every single time I had to use the restroom. It was very inconvenient and made the stay stressful. No one could fix the toilet so I unfortunately ended up leaving early. Will not be staying again.

Parking was terrible and the walls are thin and very noisy from the restaurant or club behind the motel
-
Lack of attentiveness or concern. Lack of cleaning.

This is a fairly new hotel in terms of management, but an older hotel and in a weird location, which is why it’s cheap. My bed was so sunken in the middle I could barely sleep in it. The staff is not around — it’s more like an Airbnb where you just log in with a code and go about your business, including taking your sheets to the laundry. Again, it’s cheap for the area, but you get what you pay for. I will not stay there again.

Check-in was very convenient and fast, room was very clean and smelled great, definitely booking next time!

It was very nice and clean. Beds and pillows were comfy. I liked the private parking and absolutely loved how we were able to check in and out without wasting any time at the front desk. They sent me codes ahead of my arrival and it was easy. The only things we didn’t really like were the barn door bathroom doors and the coffee pot cleanliness. The barn door style doors left a gap in between the doors and the wall making it less private. The coffee part of the coffee pot where you put the filter was not fully clean. It looked clean but if you wiped it with a cloth it was slightly dirty.

The hotel seemed a little “rundown” but it was secure, mostly clean, had a pool, and a great price! There was a huge gap the whole way around the door and no black out curtains so it didn’t get very dark in the room at night. We were in room one and could hear a lot of road noise but that isn’t the fault of the hotel, just an FYI. I received the gate and room codes via email and had zero issues. When booking your room, make sure you choose to have parking included. I would stay here if I were in New Orleans again!

We were kinda confused on how to get into the parking lot ?
-
Property is in a ghetto area, grass was overgrown and nothing like the pictures from the outside. To get a refund the manager and workers kept going around their own “no show” policy but it seems like the motel needs the money more than I do.
-
The room was adequate, comfortable and quiet. The location was perfect. We enjoyed the pool! The gated parking was secure, and we liked the small vibe, only 20 rooms. There was no ice machine.

The beautiful purple of the outside and the pool! I’d say maybe the rooms are a bit tight but it wasn’t an issue really
