Very nice staff. Very close to everything

This hotel had some really pretty pictures. That’s what sold me. I would not recommend booking this hotel. The rooms were old, the bathrooms were “renovated” when they used to have sliding doors are now curtains. But they didn’t remove the entirety of the sliding doors. The staff was not as knowledgeable as I would like them to be. I was charged for my two rooms at arrival, but had to swipe my card again when my second party arrived likely due to the fact that the staff were not commuting with each other. The bar was hardly open and when it was, the “bartender” had no set menu. And lastly the rooms were separated into two buildings and the doors to each building was giving many patrons trouble with using their key cards.

The location was wonderful! Close enough to walk to the river shops or to Bourbon Street. The staff were the absolute best. When our flight was unexpectedly canceled, the staff took care of us and made sure we had a room for the night. They made great recommendations for restaurants and music. We also loved the amount of history and preservation of the building. The room was very comfortable but it wasn’t a cookie cutter boring chain. We also appreciated being close to everything, but this area is quiet at night. We are both sensitive sleepers, and we had fantastic sleep this trip. The breakfast seemed disorganized.

Excellent location and we loved the option to prepay parking The mattress sunk in the middle BAD. It wasn't a deal breaker, but the mattress could use some attention.

This location was super clean! The staff was very professional and helpful! We use the microwave that was open for the guest to warm up breakfast each morning.

Great location within easy walking distance to the French Quarter, riverfront, museums, and St. Charles trolley. Easy check in and out. Very friendly and helpful staff. Daily housekeeping provided. The room was pleasant and beds were quite comfortable. Overall outstanding value.

Our first night was a bit rough because our room adjoined the dipping pool and the smell in the room was so musty I could taste it. The next day we asked the staff about it and they moved us to a non-smell room, comped us the first night and gave us a breakfast voucher. They really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

While we loved the space of our room, it was very humid and had a very stronf musky smell. I kept my perfume beside me to spray throughout the evening. I let them know and they came in to spray deodorizor in the vents but it was a temporary fix.

The staff is very nice and helpful, however, our first room was not clean so we were moved to a different room which was better. Please keep in mind that this building is extremely old and has a mildew smell once you walk in the rooms. The valet service marked all over my Louis Vuitton key fob with a sharpie. Stay at your own risk.

The location was great! We loved the space in our room and the feel of the hotel. It felt like a boutique hotel and the sitting area is so relaxing! The bed and pillows were great! Appreciated the proximity to where I was working. Location was within walking distance to my place of work and to many restaurants and bars. Liked the hotel was off the main strip and down 2-3 blocks which made it a quieter stay. The temperature the room stayed consistently cool however I did hear other guests complain about their A/C not working while passing thru the lobby. The linens and the room itself could have been cleaner. I failed to take a picture but the bed skirt of the king-sized bed I had looked as if it hadn't been washed in months. Clear and visible stains of some kind all over it.
