We love the location of this property and the roof is a perfect escape. Highly reccomend.

The service was exceptional. There was a huge rainstorm while we were staying there and our air conditioner began leaking a lot from the ceiling. While staff did what they could, they unable to address it that evening and we didn’t have an effective AC. To take care of us, the manager on duty told us she could arrange a room at another hotel across the street or nearby if we wanted to move—at no extra cost to us—or we could remain in our room (they were fully booked so there were no other room options) and she’d refund us. The breakfast was basic but the staff was fantastic and super friendly, and the area where it was served and the decor were great.

We had the BEST stay at the Hotel Scherman. The staff were exceptional and so attentive, kind and thoughtful. The room we stayed in was spacious, air conditioned and had excellent facilities. A little kitchenette was an unexpected surprise with an excellent coffee maker, fridge, sink and supplies. Loads of thoughtful details in the room itself. We asked for a quiet room and got exactly that. The breakfast each morning was really high quality and set us up beautifully for a day of excitement in NYC. There was also a roof top space which we took take out to on a number of occasions. From this you could see the Empire State building and really feel the city buzzing around us. We HIGHLY recommend staying at this hotel. Perfectly placed to explore the city.

We left an item in the room after checkout and the staff helped return it to the UK. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Overall an excellent experience.

All in all, this was the perfect place for us to stay for our overnight visit.

Great location for shows and restaurants; great bathroom (water pressure was AMAZING); great breakfast. We are coming back!

My daughter and I enjoyed our 1 night stay at this lovely hotel. I’ve always appreciated the street on which it’s located, but this was the first time having an opportunity to stay here. The ONLY negative is the parking that was available was a 10 minute walk (not bad WITHOUT luggage but not pleasant with). Our king bed room faced the quaint street and included a little balcony that added to the character. The bed was “melt into me” comfortable! And the size of the room was spacious for NYC. The continental breakfast was a nice touch and quite convenient. They also held our bags free of charge for hours after checkout so we didn’t have to lug them around when we explored the area. I will definitely stay here in the future. ❤️

First note that this hotel is ideally located in the middle of Restaurant Row. It was lovely, clean, and the staff was always kind and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay near the Theater District and Times Square.

Staff was very helpful

Everything was wonderful. From the fresh breakfast options, daily refreshing of our room and kind staff to the perfect water pressure of the shower and overall calm, clean environment. Absolutely would recommend, especially if you prefer walking distance to many attractions in broadway/theater area and Times Square. Great for families with older children, couples, solo travels or a girls trip. Very appreciative to the entire team that hosted and cared for us. Our first of hopefully many more New York visits was such a memorable experience thanks to the peace we found in our stay with you. Thank you.

It was clean and quiet! I have no complaints. The room was large and cute as well.

Friendly, welcoming staff. The hotel was a good location as a base for exploring the city. Breakfast bar in the morning had a nice selection to set you up for the day. Mattress was a bit firm but other than that, no complaints. Would use again.

Great experience as long as your room isn’t next to the bar next door. The staff were great about making it up to me. But the bar is very loud and open until 2 am on weekends.

The place was clean, in excellent location on restaurant riw. The only complaint would be the noise from the bar which went on late in to morning..mostly affecting the lower floors.

What a wonderfully located hotel (entrance is tucked away between restaurants) with helpful friendly staff and a clean beautifully decorated room! The staff let us borrow umbrellas when it was pouring down and it saved our day. Their communication prior to our stay was quick and warm. We felt welcome from the minute of booking throughout our stay. Totally recommend!

This is by far the cutest hotel that we’ve stayed. The staffs are so friendly and courteous. Breakfast was great, homey feel. The bed is comfortable, they left a hand written welcome notes upon arriving to your room. located within walking distance to major fun around times squares, yummy food, broadway shows. Don’t start with their rooftop…aww!!! Grab some NY style pizza from the neighborhood pizza place and enjoy it at the rooftop while gazing at the citylights and skyscrapers. I wanted to go back to NY because of this cute place.
