Courtyard by Marriott New York JFK Airport

A big downside of the hotel was the shuttle. The day before check in the hotel sent an email about the AirTrain and calling them on the courtesy phone at the station. Well it turns out the courtesy phone has been out-of-service for months, and as an international traveller I did not have a SIM for making calls. Finally we sorted this out. On the way back, we "registered" for the shuttle, but when it arrived there were so many people we could not fit in! Thankfully another shuttle driver helped us. The shuttle was the main downside - a Courtyard by Marriott should have this better managed.

Coffee pot in room and coffee and food downstairs. Excellent. Blackout blinds, perfect. Hot shower with consistent temp and water pressure. Perfect. Felt safe. My complaints are low level. The bathroom fan didn’t turned off and had a rattle. All night long it generated noise and not white noise. Had to sleep in earplugs. I have long, wavy hair. The conditioner dispenser in the shower was empty. What a disaster.

Poor Customer Service.

On top of that there was no water in bathroom and restroom!

In the bathroom, there was only an overhead shower head, and if you didn’t want to wash your hair, you were stuck with getting sprayed from above. The bath towels had the thickness of a tea towel. Lastly, in contrast to modern hotel rooms, there were no USB outlets for charging devices, except for one on the back of an alarm clock, located on one side of the bed.

The shuttle is very convenient.

Find room for an overnight stay with comfortable bed and all needed amenities. The lounge served as a restaurant for dinner and breakfast. We had a dinner of sandwiches that were quite good although there was only one Cook and one server present so it took a while. The two of them did a great job under the circumstances. Overall, it was a good place to stay overnight while awaiting a plane the next morning from JFK.

Handy for airport with a shuttle too. Comfortable beds lovely hot water. Clean and staff were lovely. A bit over priced.

Comfortable beds and pillows, spacious bathroom with the best shower ever, as the water pressure was so strong and with generous shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The hotel also has a small shop which offered basic necessities. Providing free toothbrush and toothpaste would have been much appreciated.

The shuttle bus able to take me to Terminal 4 on time the next morning. The night porter was a nice guy although to fix the problems. The Air conditioning didn't work, it blasted out hot air, on an already very hot sticky night. The water went off in the middle of the night. so there was no water from the taps, the shower or to flush the toilet.

The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. However, when we arrived the AC was out in the entire hotel. It was not fixed until the next day so sleeping was difficult in the heat. We were comped one meal (there were 2 of us). We ordered our dinner at the restaurant and never received it. We payed over $1,000 for 2 nights and this was not acceptable.

We were immediately assisted when we checked in and questions about transportation were answered. We settled in an had a delicious flatbread and wine with excellent service as we watched the soccer rooting for Columbia where our waitress came from.

No water or AC and no compensation or refund offered

Very clean Lovely staff I had to sleep on a roller bed. My booking for a room with 2 beds was not upheld. When we checked in at 1am we were told that only room available had one bed only. I was expected to share a bed with my 24yr old son. I am angry as this booking was made via booking.com many months ago

Air Conditioning not working making it a completer nightmare to sleep and be comfortable. No fans available also

Nos dieron la opción de devolución del valor o acomodarnos con ese servicio no incluido y requerimos una habitación para descansar unas horas porque el vuelo salía en la madrugada. El tema de devolución fue larga porque no es directo al cliente sino a través de booking. En estos casos en los que el hotel tiene problemas deberían notificar al cliente si desea hacer uso o no, y no hacer perder el tiempo cuando ellos tienen inconvenientes asi uno puede optar por otra reserva en otro hotel y no ir hasta allá

The air conditioning was out and we were not made aware until after we had already arrived. We were not offered a fan or any way to stay cool other than opening the window if we happened to be put in a room that allowed the windows to be opened.
