EVEN Hotel Brooklyn by IHG

AC was broken for many of the rooms in the hotel including the lobby. Many other guests complained about their hot rooms. Staff was not at all accomadating- refused to help the first night and were staying all weekend. They finally switched us into another room the day after. We spent the night in a hot room in peak summer of NYC. There were roaches in the lobby. Rooms felt stuffy. Bar was not fully equipped. Overall 4/10 experience I would absolutely never stay here again.

Ok so I switched to this hotel after booking another one originally that ended up having soo much street noise and a loud window unit. So relieved to get to Even and find a nice quiet cozy room. I asked the front desk for a room away from street noise and they put me on the 11th floor facing the courtyard. The bed and pillows were soooo plush and comfortable. I slept great the whole time. I’m a light sleeper so I was really worried about finding a place in the nyc area that I cold actually sleep and the price wouldn’t be crazy high. Highly recommend. It’s not a fancy hotel but it’a middle of the road and comfortable and I loved it.

We stayed at this hotel from 8/1-8/4. We were promised that the living space would be accommodated with AC. However, upon arrival the room had no AC and just had a fake wall thermostat. There were 2 space fans provided but it was just blowing hot, humid air. Throughout the night the space fans would create an extremely loud and unpleasant sound, similar to the subway trains outside in the city. Front staff desk were nice, however could not switch us to a different room with AC, as we found out other rooms had AC but just not our room. The staff promised the hotel manager would call us to provide a solution however we never received the call, and left our stay feeling dissatisfied. We expected a cool, chill room to return to after a hot and long few days of exploring the city for our family vacation, but was met with a humid and hot room. The common area also has the space fans so I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is not a big fan of the heat.

The room was great. Bed was comfortable, great pillows and clean good quality linen. Just a tiny issue with the maintenance of the floor tiling in the shower. The location was perfect for me in terms of getting about. Hotel is close to the A train subway line....which takes you to the trains at JFK. I would book again.

Staff were friendly, A/C worked great and the location was very central and convenient. The rooms could use some upkeep and the ice machines and water machines on the floors were broken.

The room was exceptionally clean, modern, and well maintained. As soon as we walked in, everything looked spotless and fresh, which immediately made us feel at home. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was immaculate, and housekeeping did a great job keeping everything in excellent condition throughout our stay. One of the things that stood out the most was the staff. Every employee we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. They made us feel like valued guests, answered all of our questions with a smile, and were always willing to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality really made our trip even more memorable. Breakfast was another highlight. There was a great selection of fresh and delicious options each morning, making it easy to start our day before heading out to explore the city. Everything was well prepared, and the dining area was clean and inviting. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was especially appreciated after long days of walking around New York and an exciting night at the concert. The room stayed cool and comfortable, allowing us to relax and get a great night’s sleep. Overall, our experience at EVEN Hotel Brooklyn – an IHG Hotel was outstanding
