Holiday Inn Brooklyn Downtown by IHG

I felt like I was at a shelter.

The air conditioner could be updated and the chair in the room and the closet but the room was clean .. and why it take so long to release your deposit. But overall it was nice ..

Lovely property and it's right next to downtown Brooklyn. The only thing was that the jacuzzi wasn't hot. Other than that, it's good.

The front desk was very warm and welcoming though.

It was horrible and I filled a complaint with Holiday in general management and still got no where. The check in was terrible due to computer issue. The communication was poor and I was met with staff that was confused and vague about what was happening. The next day while using the sink a nasty brown substance came out of the faucet and the second day the toilet was clogged. It was an awful experience and I will never stay there again.

My biggest frustration was that the staff didn’t have a clear or efficient check-out process. If we don’t need to check out and can just throw our keys in a box, put signage indicating this or explain this at check-in so we don’t all stand in line for 10 minutes. Also the welcome at check-in left much to be desired. When someone comes in with a suitcase at 9:30pm, obviously they want to check-in. You do this all day. I don’t. Help me out. Welcome me. Tell me what you need from me. That would be much preferred to the blank stare I got.

I had to wait 2 hours to check in housekeeping doesn't do job in a timely manner and If u gonna take sweet time at least do a good job

The location was close to the Barkley Center which made it very convenient to see the Nets game. It was a very nice hotel.

My husband and I stayed for one night after our original hotel air conditioner died. The front desk staff at the hotel were awesome. We reserved a top floor newly renovated room which was very nice. The only thing I disliked was the pillows. They were so flat and uncomfortable. We found free parking a block away because the valet parking is so expensive, and the parking lots are always full in NY.

First of all I stayed here before but this stay here horrible, the room wasn’t cleaned, there was no trash can in the room, most of the condiments were not refilled and there was no ice available on every floor especially since it was one of the hottest day, the pool had so much chlorine that I had to run out to wash my eyes out.

Staff not very thoughtful. I had to cut my stay short due to a death in the family. Called hotel in the evening to request cancelation, was told that I had to talk with the manager in the morning. Reached the manager next morning after 3 tries / calls. Was told that if I checked out in the next 10 minutes, they would charge for one night and return the 2nd remaining night. Explaining that I was on the way to a burial and couldn't possibly check out in 10 minutes was met with silence and no flexibility. Very disappointing.

All ice machines were out of order The floors are absolutely filthy. The carpets in the room will literally stick to your feet. The staff will become instantly agitated when asking for assistance. Never again. I’m considering writing to corporate.

We decided we will not be staying at another holiday inn after this stay. The rooms were old and the bathroom layout is terrible. The light goes on in the bathroom before you have time to shut the door, the light wakes wakes everyone up. The shower door opens in instead of out, getting water everywhere. If you look hard enough on the floor, you can see other guests hair... No hand towels our whole stay. Carpets dirty. It was 100° and every ice maker in the hotel was broken. The pool is shut down from 12-7!?!?!? That is most of the day, why bother? Although, not on vacation to watch tv, the tv is aweful! No options. Would like to be able to stream my stuff, not everyone wants to watch the news on vaca. The parking is a cluster. Have more than 1 valet. All this said...holiday inn is a big no thank you!

This property was AMAZING. Firstly the staff especially Jennifer and Thina were fantastic. Highly professional yet so kind. I truly felt welcome. The valet runners work hard it’s so busy down this street. Waited only less than five minutes for my car. I was in a high level room. The view of the city was outstanding. The bed and pillows felt like a dream. The soap in the restrooms were so dreamy. Everything was delightful. The only thing that took patience was the elevators. I was here on a Friday and it stopped almost on every floor. This was during check in and out periods. You can utilize the stairs if you’d like some extra steps. The pool and hot tub and gym and sauna and steam room were a plus. They even have a lifeguard. The onsite restaurant was amazing. Please visit. I’m coming bk.
