Ink 48 Hotel

DID NOT LIKE that the rooftop bar is operated by a separate company & we were denied access just to go up and get a drink even though the "special event" on the rooftop was over--if you are staying at a hotel, you should be able to go to the hotel bar. The daytime Bellman was the one of the nicest gentleman I have ever met--I would go back just to see him. :)

What is bad about this hotel they have no small refrigerator no microwave and you can request a microwave but after two days of requesting one as soon as I got here, I still did not receive one. Lastly, the room does not offer a coffee maker so you cannot even start your day with a cup of coffee in the room.

I loved every part of it

The hotel itself was fine. The rooms were really nice size. We happened to be there during the heatwave. The lobby and hallways were so hot. We happened to see the thermostat in a shared area and it was 93 degrees. I understand it was unseasonably hot, but for the workers sake, that seems very unfair. Maybe the AC was broken but then that should have been shared.

Location is great! Staff were nothing but helpful. I have stayed here before and this time was no different, an absolute gem.

Clean but noisy

Room was a great size, not at all soundproofed though. Air con was great. Bar was lovely although unless you book for outside they won’t let you sit there even if there are empty tables.

the concierge were nice enough to switch me rooms since i was not satisfied.

the roof, the easy calls to communicate with front desk handheld shower head in room didn’t work, elevators didn’t work on first attempts, i selected late check out & my key card stopped working way before then, dirty towels, shower not cleaned thoroughly enough, unwiped cleaning marks, staff on rooftop was rude specifically the old bald dude, ac stopped working

Rooftop bar was a bonus - room was lovely and bright. Recommend the cafe for breakfast it was delicious and the staff were super friendly.

This hotel was lovely. Shanelle from the front desk was fabulous! I would recommend staying here. Great location with gorgeous views.

Room was spacious and clean. We waited many hours to check-into our room after flying half way across the world from South Africa. We were exhausted, We specifically indicated to the hotel (via Booking.com) our check-in time weeks before and still got there and had to wait for our room for hours. A staff member did apologise for the inconvenience and said they would waive one of their fees as a token of apology. And so began weeks and weeks of painful communication with Ink48 (Jessica Bautista) and Booking.com without any acknowledgement until recently (1 month later) when someone finally got back to me apologising for the lack of communication. Unfortunately, the way this was handled left a bad taste in my mouth and ruined a life-long wish for me and my daughter to stay in New York (for her 16th birthday). We will never return to this hotel. Over and above this, an authorised deduction from my account was made during our stay which also took weeks to be reimbursed after reams of communication between myself and Booking.com.

Room was clean staff was communicative and helpful when needed. Cute little hotel next to time square and hells kitchen
