The hotel is well located, especially if you arrive at Newark Liberty Airport, Penn Station is a few blocks away from the hotel. The hotel is well decorated, and there is a nice restaurant on the main floor.

Such an incredible location - just a short walk from Penn station and Madison Square Garden and on the doorstep of the Empire State Building. I travelled with 2 girlfriends and needed a larger room and we got just that - plus a huge bathroom! I will stay here again!

Hotel muy bonito y limpio, pequeños detalles que no afectan la estancia, el personal es muy servicial, lo mejor es la ubicación

I ask for steamer and kettle and it was provided immediately. The cleaners always offered the room to be cleaned. There is always a supply of bottled water and filtered water as well. When my nephew got some wound the staff went to give band aid immediately. That definitely tells us something. When i visit New York in the future. I will definitely book this hotel.

Cerca de Korea Town,Penn station muy accesible y buena ubicación, pero mi habitación era muy pequeña.

We were able to leave our luggage with the front desk before our booking. Great for flyers, arriving to New York early. Location was perfect!

When I approached the front desk with a simple question, the receptionist didn’t even acknowledge me properly. Instead of listening or responding politely, she simply told me that she would answer me after she finished what she was doing. She didn’t apologize for the wait, make eye contact, or show even the most basic level of courtesy. As a paying guest, I felt completely ignored and disrespected. I fully understand that hotel staff can be busy, and I would have been happy to wait if she had communicated professionally. A simple “I’ll be with you in just a moment” with a smile would have been perfectly acceptable. However, her dismissive attitude made it feel as though guests were an inconvenience rather than a priority. The front desk is the face of any hotel. It creates the first and last impression for every guest. Unfortunately, the service I received was far below the standard I would expect from a 4-star property. Professionalism, courtesy, and respect should be basic expectations, yet none of these were demonstrated during my interaction. This experience significantly affected my overall impression of the hotel. A beautiful property and good facilities cannot make up for poor customer service. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously,

Location and building insulation. You couldn’t tell you were in NYC. Quiet rooms. Beautiful high ceilings in room. N/A

Chris at the front desk was amazing. He was super attentive and make our stay an amazing experience. The hotel is located in midtown and walking distance to a lot of places. Highly recommend Life Hotel.

Visually the room was great, adhering to the original 19th century look- however this was marred by the typical Huge American TV- it was wedged awkwardly at an angle on the wall bevause it was simply too big for the room. How about no TV, just ditch it- people are glued to their phones anyway. The most negstive part of the stay was the appallingly unprofessional manner of the morning front desk clerk Sunday, June 28, 2026. He was a tall blond person from what I remember. When I told him I had misplaced my camera and that while I didn't find it in the room, please if housekeeping finds it, please let me know. He just shrugged and said 'do you want ti go up and check room again, we're not responsible... It wasn't what he said but the lack of any concern at all- he simply did not care and his attitude made me feel like I was a pesky gnat.

our room was quiet, centrally located and great access to all the subway lines. we ended up watching a lot of the World cup late at night at the hotel bar. As a former NYer, I appreciated the location to theaters, Penn Station and walkability factor. thank you Anita Bloch
-
Ideal location for Manhattan adventures, both uptown and downtown. Tucked away on a quiet street yet just a half-block from 5th and 6th Avenues with quick accessibility to bus and subway options. Room was generously sized and comfortable. Staff were always kind and helpful. Will definitely come back next time we make it to the city, thanks!

Small room without window. Noisy AC and bad smell in the room.

I've been wanting to stay at this hotel for years now, but my trip kept getting postponed. The building facade is gorgeous, a total feast for the eyes. The Zoi bar was lovely, and always packed in the evenings with the best vibes. The staff were kind and accommodating, and the rooms were very spacious and clean. I loved the bathroom's brass hardware and cozy feel. And being on the 6th floor I actually had a lovely view, which I wasn't expecting! The location is unbeatable. There is so much to see and do in Nomad, so many great cafes and restaurants and shops. If you stay here, you'd be walking distance from Felix Roasting Co., Lady M Cake Boutique, The Smith, Nordstrom Rack, The Flatiron Building, Maman Gramercy, and much more! Highly recommend Life Hotel!

The room was very clean and quiet. We had an excellent stay! We had to remind staff a couple times for a request we had that didn’t get fulfilled at first, but they acted quickly and resolved it once we reminded them. Otherwise it was a great stay!
