The property was close to most the places we like to visit, very accessible to the subway Currents didn’t block out the light completely, it could get noisy at times middle of the night from traffic

This hotel was awesome! When we had travel changes they were super flexible and made a very late check in easy! The location is great and close to so many awesome spots including the 34th street subway entrance. The beds were super comfortable and the room was very clean. The rooftop bar had stunning views and nice staff! All in all felt safe and had a very easy and comfortable stay! Would totally stay here again, and recommend it to others!

The price is reasonable for the Location. It is located in Midtown, so lots of shops and restaurants right near by, and the subway is on the corner. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. The water pipes were very loud, and the heating system made a lot of noise as well, causing me to wake up frequently throughout the night.

The hotel staff was welcoming and the location close to Herald Square and all other attractions in Manhattan was perfect. Very close to subway stations. The bed was really uncomfortable and made a creaking noise with every movement. The air conditioner made noises like a machinery factory and if you want to sleep well, bring earplugs. The hotel is quite old and needs renovation. It was a very disappointing visit.

The only let down was the wifi - poor connectivity, forever dropping in and out. Not helpful when trying to find information.

The one positive thing I can say is that our room was clean. A very old and rundown hotel with little to no effort to make the place feel beautiful, welcoming, or cared for. The staff is present, but unfortunately, most interactions felt more like an inconvenience to them than an opportunity to help. When you ask for something or raise an issue, there seems to be no real effort to resolve it—and certainly no effort to make your stay more pleasant. The advertising is also misleading: the photos show what appears to be the best room, while the reality seems to be very different for the majority of guests. Overall, this is definitely a “never coming back” hotel for us.

Central location, bed comfy, free luggage storage! The rooms are very dated, bathroom extremely small and tried to ring reception several times no answer. Would be nice to have had a bottle of water in the room on arrival as they provide water but you have to walk down two three flights of stairs to get a cup.

Hotel at 5th is in the heart of Ktown, one short block from Empire state. It's an older hotel, classic big city independent kind of feel. It's not going to be as polished and regimented as a Hyatt or whatever, but, it has character in spades, and for what you'll be doing in Manhattan, it's perfect. It's a bed, a bathroom, and a location that is close to where you want to be. Wifi's good, shower was decent, water quality in the shower is excellent (I think they're softening their water, it's nice), climate control in the room is good, staff was friendly and useful for a suggestion or to just get your bearings on a town that can at times be overwhelming, all quite good. The k-32 rooftop bar is likely the best view of Empire State that exists, drinks are good and inventive, staff is excellent, like no business being that good, five stars to all of them. My only complaint is, it closes at midnight. The staff was cool about it, but, you won't be there till 2am, so plan accordingly. The bad, well the rooms are small. That's what you get in Manhattan, if you want to hangout in your room, you're doing it wrong. The bed was just ok, didn't spend much time in it, didn't bother me, but, if you're expecting a fancy mattress you'll be disappointed. The ugly, it's an older hotel, she's showing her age. It's clean, no worries there, but, the fit and finish is a 3-star. I think it's a gem if you like character, not if you want apple store modernity.

Property was in a great area very close to the train and lots to do close by. Not having a fridge in the room.
