The hotel is in a good location, close to subways, theatres, attractions, shopping and restaurants. The diner attached to the hotel has a reasonably variety of options for B, L and D. The front desk staff were efficient and polite but weren't friendly. Housekeeping didnt alwaysreplenish drinking cups and things for tea. 2 small complimentary water bottles were only provided every other day. I thought this was unnecessary penny pinching by the hotel. These should be provided daily for the convenience of their guests. I had to buy bottled water on the days they were not provided. Another odd thing was that the bedsheets were only changed once during my 8 nights stay.

Great location and large room especially for a historic NYC hotel. The building was beautiful and the ability to walk into Carnegie Deli was an unexpected bonus. The only down side was the noise levels from other rooms - the walls were thin and we were woken up several times during the night with people coming and going, hallway noise, TVs, talking, etc.

Such an amazing stay. Perfect location if you want to experience midtown. Highly recommended

Hotel was enjoyable, clean and close enough to Broadway without all the congestion. Staff was pleasant. Be aware of the added $40 per night resort fees.

Beautiful restored historic hotel

Rooms and the hotel itself are lovely. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful but we did get some conflicting information about the $15 daily credit. The bar was very nice and great service, but the Carnegie Deli was only average food and average service. The lapse in the quality of the Deli will NOT stop us from staying at the hotel again.

Great hotel, great locally, fair rates, good restaurant, and excellent staff. Will definitely return.

The hotel was a perfect location for what I needed it for. Bonus, the subway was right out the doors which was very convenient. What I didn’t like was at check-in I wanted to make sure there was a fridge in the room. I was told if I wanted one there would be an additional $25 charge. I was also surprised that as soon as we walked in we were pulled over by an employee trying to get us to sign up for a three day getaway of our choice as long as we participated in sales pitch. We literally didn’t even go up to our room yet. The muffins they sold for $6 were not edible. With that being said the room was clean and served its purpose. I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The room was clean but INCREDIBLY small. There was a desk, TV, one nightstand, and a queen bed (but it felt more like a double?). The bathroom was very tiny, the door almost hit the toilet when you open it. I booked this place because we were seeing a show at MSG and it was close proximity. Thankfully we were only there one night.

They tacked on a $40.00 per night surcharge above the stated cost on a travel site without much prior notice

Great location. Quiet. Views not so great but the beds were comfy and the room was a good size. The water pressure in shower was AMAZING!!!

Every single staff person spoke to you. Asking how you were doing, if you needed anything, answered any and all questions. After we checked out, our flight got changed/cancelled for the fifth time, they helped us to get a room.

La habitación que nos dieron era espaciosa pero daba con el muro del interior del edificio, sin vista a la ciudad. El personal es muy atencioso y correctos, muy buena atención.

Overall very nice hotel. GREAT location! That was worth every penny! Just the one gal at front desk put damper on our stay, but I think she may have been new... hopefully she'll get nicer and more knowledgeable for guests! Breakfast was awesome and the little Sweet Surprise was really nice!
