Hampton Inn Madison Square Garden Area Hotel

Room was clean but small. Was a bit challenging to walk about the room with luggage. Sink counter was cracked. No refrigerator or microwave (but was not advertised as having them). Toilet ran for a minute after flushing. TV was big and bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Complimentary breakfast was good. Location was excellent - easy walking distance to Madison Square Garden, Penn Station, Macys and the Empire State Building. Cheap garage parking almost directly across street. Price of lodging was good. Would stay there again.

Great place to stay within walking distance of MSG!

Good location. Breakfast area is showing its age. We stayed here before and the price is very good for mid town manhattan

Not the best.

Very clean, small rooms. Air conditioner sounded like a plane taking off every time it came on. Staff was very helpful and had excellent customer service.

Very clean. First in room coffee machine didn’t work so kindly received a replacement. Room was cleaned every day even though informed it would be every other day. Expect compact rooms. Good location for midtown activities.

Our stay was not the best especially for the price. When our room was services, we did not get towels back for the people staying in the room also and problem for me was they didn’t replace the 2 empty toilet paper rolls we had or the tissue. After servicing the room the job was horrible. The next day the same thing no towels replaced and still no tissue. The A/C in the room was so old and broken. We had a horrible noise coming from the machine that was so loud you could hear it through the door. Housekeeping needs help on how to clean the room.

Location, breakfast and front desk were all great. This hotel is a budget hotel, and New York is expensive. I was happy to be there - but it was not necessarily the nicest place. Just good. Room was clean and quiet.

The staff was amazing! Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The price paid for the quality of the property was a bit much. I don't know if something big was going on in the city, but this stay was overpriced.

The breakfast is very special simple. The location is good. Near Times Square. You can go walking and very close for NY Penn Station. For me the hotel is so-so.

Otherwise nice people and a good budget hotel in a convenient area.

We arrived early in the day and asked the front desk to store our luggage till check in, which is very popular to do there..Upon check in several hours later we walked with the front desk staff to find our luggage,he found it in the hotel kitchen, my friend had a roller carryon with her hoodie laying on top of it..when we got to our room 2 large roaches ran off her suitcase, we got into our room and she put her hoodie on( that was laying on her suitcase)and tgere was a BIG cockroach in it and it and crawled on her!! We called the front desk and asked for the manager, no one came to the phone so we paid the front desk a visit..the manager came to oyr room and seen the dead hitch hikers that was on her suitcase and clothes, he moved us to a different room, and apologized several times. He ended up giving us a night free, we refused to eat the free breakfast, it did look good but after what was in the kitchen on her suitcase we decided against it. The room was typical New York hotel, kinda small, the beds was very comfortable, shower was nice, hard to set the temperature, towels nice. A working ice machine was hard to find, the signs in the elevator about the ice machines are not true!! Location was A+, definitely visit Jack's Market across the street, everything you need!

This is a small hotel located 2-1/2 blocks from Madison Square Gardens and 3-1/2 blocks from Macy’s! Breakfast buffet was ample with many choices. Did not hear a lot of street traffic.

Very convenient location to MSG. Just a couple of minutes away. Very clean and very friendly staffs. Older hotel and definitely needs some updates.
