LIV Hotel Bronx - Newly Built

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well maintained

Close to Little Italy and the Botanical Garden. No free parking available. Had to park at a valet parking garage 1/4 mile away. First room door would not lock. Got a new room. No safe to store my laptop.Had to double park to load my luggage.

Parking is limited first come first serve and you may be blocked in when you are ready to leave. Rooms are clean but there is only a mini fridge inside with a bed table and chair. Good for an overnight stay.

The room and upgrades were really great. But, they don’t have parking. They have limited parking. When there are 10 cars the parking is full. I had to pay for parking $25 at a garage. I used the atm and paid $3 to get cash for the vending machine and the vending machine was out of order.

The hotel and the room was not bad for the location and the room wasnt bad, the only thing I was upset about was the fact I booked a King room and the staff tried to give me a queen room and didn't tell me just put me in the queen room. I Had to call down and let them know they put me in the wrong room once I did that, I had to wait an hour for my king room, now that's crazy.

Once settled, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable enough for a great night's sleep. There were a few minor quirks: one room had a hairdryer while the other didn't, and my flat sheet had a few tears in it. However, the sheet was perfectly clean, and given the responsive service, I’m confident they would have replaced it had I asked. The AC is fairly loud, but we were so exhausted it didn't bother us at all. We did notice some condensation on the floor in the morning—likely just the perils of staying in NY during a heatwave! A nice bonus is the lobby amenities. Since there's no water or coffee in the rooms, I really appreciated the free water, coffee maker, and ice machine in the lobby, plus the ice buckets provided in the rooms. Overall, a practical and good-value choice.
