The hotel was clean and quiet. Staff were very helpful. The main hall on our floor smelled a little odd and was quite dark.

The room’s window was open which had a draft and caused noise pollution. When we reported the issue to the front desk staff, they gave us extra drink vouchers to “help us sleep through the night” since they couldn’t get the window closed. Also, there’s a party on the ground floor every single night which rumbles through the entire building and the bass can be felt on the seventh floor.

Location about ) miles from Times Square. Easy to get to by the subway. I would start my bike journey every morning from this neighborhood and explore the many areas of Manhattan many people may not see. Bike ride included a beautiful ride along the Hudson River. Staff was fantastic. The neighborhood was very lively and colorful. Room was very comfortable as a solo traveler. Nice restaurant connected to the hotel. Happy I took a chance on this location this time- normally stay in Times Square but thought I try something completely different.

All the rooms were clean and updated. A few of us were bothered by the street noise but most didn't mind! Highly recommend.

Room: King Deluxe, Room 429 Stay: 5 nights Price: Approx. $800 + tax, without breakfast ❌ Housekeeping During my 5-night stay, there were 2 consecutive days with no room service. Even after informing reception that I had left the room around 11 AM, it was still not cleaned. Garbage remained in the room, which was disappointing for the price paid. ❄️ A/C & Maintenance The A/C did not work for 2 out of 5 days. After complaining, staff came and changed the batteries of the unit, but the issue remained. Engineers then opened the bathroom shaft to access the compressor, leaving the bathroom covered in dust and dirt. They left at night without properly cleaning it, making it unpleasant to shower and leaving almost nowhere clean to step. 🗣️ Communication Communication with room-service and other staff was difficult, as most spoke primarily Spanish and had limited English. Reception staff were the exception and communicated well. 🍳 Breakfast Confusion My booking receipt appeared to show breakfast included, but at check-in I was told it wasn’t included. This was confusing and should have been clarified. 📍 Location The hotel is around 45 minutes from central NYC, depending on traffic. If you’re planning to spend most of your time in Manhattan, consider the commute carefully. Overall 3.5 / 10 For approximately $800 + tax for 5 nights, I expected better housekeeping, reliable A/C and better maintenance follow-up. I WAS DISAPPOINTED

Hotel seems to not have central AC? Our room had a free-standing AC unit, vented through the window which was propped open and then the 4” opening was covered in tape. The AC unit was extremely loud when running, but when off the taped-off window did nothing to muffle nose from the street - even 10 floors up. Very loud and unpleasant to sleep in or try to watch tv.

I picked this hotel for the location only. We went for the Jay Z concert and it was the closest best hotel available.
