The Boro Hotel

I would like to start this review off by saying that the staff here is lovely. They are engaging, they are attentive, and they are willing to do anything that you ask them to. But I wanna get into a little bit about the property. One, robes are promised. They weren't in the rooms, to be fair. I did not ask for them, but they weren't in the room. I expected them to be in the room, in the closet. There were two people on my reservation, but there was only one washcloth, so I had to go get washcloths as well. The balconies are basically half of a New York fire escape, so if you're the kind of person who is scared of heights but is okay with balconies, this balcony still may not work for you. Check-in and out were pretty seamless. And overall, I had a decent stay. But it wasn't what I was expecting.

Love this hotel! This was my second stay. Both occasions were relatively large family trips to NYC. The hotel clerks (all shifts) were accommodating and chok full of useful information. Thanks to their knowledge of the community, we saved money on snacks and breakfast by hitting up the neighborhood bodega's. That said, we at in the hotel restaurant a few times. Excellent! I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich and the fresh fruit bowl. The cafe staff are excellent and entertained my 83 year old mother's constant need for cups of ice. I actually went to the gym three days in a row to mitigate the damage (so many food options in Long Island City). The roof top bar....Best kept secret! Didn't even know it was there on the first trip. Went up there twice on this trip. The playlist is fire! The view.....priceless. The Boro is "my" spot. I felt safe walking around at night. The location is an excellent "middle ground" for visitors wanting to hit different parts of NYC. We were about 20-30 minutes from everything we wanted to do. Why pay "Time Square" prices if the entire trip is not touring Time Square locations? I will be back!

I honestly didn’t have any complaints, very clean, calm peaceful vibes, amazing staff and the food was great. Would definitely stay here again!

The room had minimal supplies

I really enjoyed my stay at The Boro Hotel and was able to book a room last minute when my flight was cancelled. The staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful :)

The hotel restaurant is great, and the coffee bar is also very good. I am going to make this a regular hotel moving forward for trips to NYC. Lastly, the staff was very kind and gave me lots of information both about the neighborhood and places to eat. I had no problem walking back to the hotel at 2AM from nearby bars and event locations; the area is safe and there is a nice park nearby. Thanks for a great stay: I will be back!

The tv had issues

Pas le gros luxe mais c’est suffisant. Métro pas trop loins pour aller à New York à environ 1km

A room was small. I was very disappointed at the pictures are not the same as the room

The hotel is modern, clean, and comfortable, with easy access to Manhattan while being in a quieter area of Queens. The staff made us feel truly welcome, and their thoughtful upgrade made our honeymoon even more special. If you’re planning a trip to New York and want amazing views without staying in the middle of the crowds, we highly recommend the Boro Hotel. Thank you for making our honeymoon so memorable—we’ll definitely be back!

The rooftop view was absolutely amazing- This hotel is really underrated- Valeria at the front desk was so wonderful- My next visit absolutely will stay at the Boro Hotel.

The rooms had limited lighting. There were also no drawers to put away clothes and organize. There was no one to help with luggage handling in the lobby, and there was only one person at check in time to help people check in.

What a great experience! The Boro Hotel was a great choice for my 5 day stay in New York. Originally being from LI, this was a perfect location to explore all areas. Street parking was easy to secure, especially when having to move your car on certain days. If you’re attending events and need public transportation, the train is only a few blocks away. As far as food, the hotel has a restaurant and rooftop bar. The views from the rooftop are spectacular. If you want more of a local NY vibe, there’s plenty of corner stores to pickup a snack or deli sandwich. When choosing a room, any option is suitable. For the first portion of my stay, I had a balcony room with a bathtub. The sun peers through the windows creating a delightful morning ambiance. My final room had two beds, which was perfect for multiple guests. It was spacious enough for us to comfortably get ready at the same time. Overall, I would recommend for anyone to stay at the Boro. I will definitely be back!

Coffee makers in room would make for better stay.

Fairly good hotel with nice city view if you have room to the right direction to the water. As a surprise, nobody told us about cleaning upon request. When we requested nobody clean it anyway. Upon escalation, they have clean the room in the evening. Cleaning the room upon request only. Nobody told us at check in. It was a real surprise for the hotel that is not seen as budget hotel.
