The Essence Hotel AT JFK

Staff were friendly Building was old, bad location, not worth the price at all

Good location 5 minutes walk from Jamaica air train station. Hotel was clean and comfortable.

It was reasonably priced and fairly close to Jamaica Hospital. It smelled like disinfectant everywhere. Chipped paint, old bathroom fixtures and front desk person was not welcoming.

Convenaiently located to Subway. Rooms can be a bit stuffy but sorted with AC.

Convenient location for JFK and near to transport into Manhattan. Bed was comfortable but the room was pretty small. The check in was smooth but there were signs up suggesting a $100 cash security deposit but thankfully this wasn’t enforced. I don’t think I’d stay here again as the local area wasn’t particularly nice and didn’t feel very safe

I was pleasantly surprised by the room and its amenities, great bed. Slept really well. Good zircon. It was their first day of serving a hot breakfast so it was a little bit hit or miss, but I think once it gets going, should be good. They had beef burgers eggs coffee waffles bread pastries etc. The front desk was really helpful and informed me of things I should know. There are no parking facilities but you may find somewhere to park in surrounding areas. Area a little on the rough side for female solo traveller. Lots of eating places.

500m walk to airtrain and subway, stuffs are nice, good breakfast . It‘ s good choice to tranfer to airport for one night

It was reliable to get to my final location. Room was comfortable to my preference. The first lift only takes you to the first floor and you off to take another one to your room, it’s kind of hard if you have luggage. The room weren’t smelling refresh.
