Location was excellent. Staff very friendly. Rooms spacious and clean for nyc stay.

Staff was great during check-in. Unfortunately, when we arrive at our room the air conditioning was clearly not working. NYC is having a heatwave this weekend - it was 100° and we were on the top floor in a corner room filled with sunlight. The temperature in the room reached 82° and we asked the front desk if they could address the AC, which they did try their best to do - even going so far as checking the equipment on the roof. Ultimately, the air could not be fixed and we had to leave a little over an hour after check-in. We were not charged for our stay.

A great place to stay for the weekend, staff is great and easy access to anywhere in lower Manhattan.

Even though I was only there for a short time, visiting from Philly, the Nolitan is definitely a hidden treasure in the Soho Region. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, and I love how the overall hotel feels like a very classy lounge that preserved from the historic 40’s with modern amenities. Very well maintained, simple yet elegant, with nice rooms and good amenities. And despite the smaller size of the hotel, I like how they utilized all the spaces to be effective architecturally so that you don’t feel cramped. I chose the balcony room, which was definitely the best decision to enjoy the views and sounds. The only thing that worried me was the parking, but even that wasn’t an issue anymore once I found good spots. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay and enjoy everything the Soho region had to offer. If you’re looking for a simple place to stay with everything you need. I would highly recommend the Nolitan. 9/10

Always a great stay here

The location is great. And the staff were friendly. But the place is really rundown and noisy. There is no restaurant, there is no rooftop bar, the Wi-Fi was terrible and there were only a few channels available on the TV. Even the in room phone didn’t work. There is a single pot of coffee in the lobby and that’s the continental breakfast.

Also shout out to the amazing staff ~ I felt some clothing hanging in the closet & didn’t realize it until the following day….they held my items & I was able to have them picked up & delivered to me. You will not be disappointed with this hotel
-
Great location, but the condition of the room and property was very disappointing. For example, there was something sticky on the bathroom walls, the hangers in the closet were broken, and there were clumps of hair on our towles, as well as on the bathroom floor. I also had some safety concerns, as when we returned to the hotel lobby late in the evening there was no staff that appeared to be monitoring the lobby and there was what looked to be a homeless man sleeping in the lobby.

Loved this hidden gem with excellent service:)

Staff was SO kind I loved them! Very attentive, kind, helpful. Dropped everything to help me. Answered all my questions - location is amazing! Everything around you. I loved the room & fun bathtub to unwind and relax after a long day! Will be seeing them again soon! Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Absolutely loved this hotel! We had a top floor room with balcony that looked over the whole skyline. Rooms aren’t fancy but are clean and comfortable. Staff is excellent and they have a deal with a gym down the block which was great. Location is 1000/10 It’s a bit of a loud location but normal NYC street noise - also shower water pressure could be a bit better.
-
Great location, decent room size (for NYC). A bit loud even with closed windows. very long check-in... considering you arrive around midnight, are the only person to check-in, and have room already pre-paid it was disappointing.
-
Decent stay and location. Nothing specifically negative, just that my expectations were higher for a boutique property and Nolitan was a "solid" but nothing particularly stood out. The room could have been a bit larger and the balcony (which we paid extra for) was not very functional or inviting.
-
This place is and A+ in my opinion. Everyone at the front desk was super helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, spacious and quiet for the most part. The neighborhood is absolutely incredible, walkable, and safe. Would 100% recommend.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed here and would return again. Rooms are small but clean. AC works great. The balcony rooms are my favorite, even though the traffic noise can be a lot. I really appreciated the coffee in the lobby every morning! Housekeeping very reliable. Front desk staff friendly. Great location. I give it 5 stars!

The balcony itself offers that quintessential New York view and energy—city rooftops, movement, and atmosphere that make you feel immersed in the city from the moment you wake up. What truly sets this hotel apart is the location. You're steps from some of the best shopping in the city, incredible fitness studios, and favorites like Butcher's Daughter for breakfast. Everything you want to experience is right outside your door. Book this hotel for its unbeatable location, clean and comfortable rooms, authentic NYC vibe, and value—it's one of the more affordable ways to stay in the heart of it all without sacrificing comfort. A few things to be aware of before booking: the balcony rooms face a busy street, and on Saturday night the noise was significant enough that I barely slept. From Sunday through Thursday it was noticeably quieter, but I still relied on earplugs each night. If you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend requesting a room away from the street or packing earplugs. The room itself was very clean, but many of the finishes and furnishings are showing their age. While everything was well maintained, the wear from years of guest use can make parts of the room appear less fresh at first glance. I was also disappointed to find that the rooftop deck and restaurant were closed during my stay. One of the reasons I booked this property was to use the rooftop space, and there was no mention of the closure on the Booking.com listing prior to arrival. A notice on the listing would have helped manage expectations. Overall, the location and value are excellent, but it's worth knowing about the street noise and checking whether all amenities are open before booking.

The Nolitan is a great hotel centrally located to almost all of your downtown neighborhoods. I have stayed multiple times. It is a neat and clean hotel. The staff is very willing to find answers to all of your questions.
-
The LES location was really perfect for where we wanted to be. The light did not
-
We loved the location, the room size and room features. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooftop bar is under construction, wifi is not strong enough

Small room (typical for NYC) and a bit weirdly arranged. In a fairly noisy part of town, so bring some earplugs. Good location with plenty of good food and drink options within a short walk. My room had a small balcony, which was fun.
