When I started planning our New York wedding, I knew that the day would not be complete, without fulfilling my dream of staying at the Plaza. Spending my last night as a Miss and then getting ready at the Plaza on the morning of the wedding and subsequently returning on our wedding night did not disappoint. A complimentary room upgrade and several special touches helped to make our stay truly unforgettable and we will carry the memories with us always. The room was just exquisite, room service was delicious and the staff were all incredible and so friendly. Special mention to the bellhop Ted who was just lovely to talk to, and Rob Arango who we met getting out of the elevator on our wedding day along with a wedding planner whose name I can’t recall now (so sorry!) What a lovely pair they were! Thanks to all at the Plaza though for making our stay so special. The service was just faultless throughout and I can’t wait to come back again some day. Absolutely nothing not to love, apart from the fact it was a little outside my budget to spend our entire 10 night trip there, as well as get married.

Honestly for the amount of money I payed for our visit to the plaza I was highly disappointed in service , from dinning to the staff not cleaning our room when I clearly requested . It was a special moment for my daughter’s birthday and I truly don’t feel satisfied with my stay or experience.

The Plaza is not only a beautiful part of New York city history, it’s also a part of my own personal history; every stay, since I was a child, has become part of a treasured memory. I love the look of the hotel, the smell of the hotel, the very “feel” of the hotel; the moment I step in the front door, I feel better about the world. Many of the staff have become like family to us over the years, and returning as we do whenever we can feels like coming home. If one has the wherewithal to spend even a single night in this magnificent place, one simply must. (Can you tell I love The Plaza?)

The rooms were very nice, clean and well renovated, and the property itself remains impressive. My experience with the service was disappointing. Many of the staff did not seem genuinely passionate about their work, and the interactions often lacked the warmth and authentic friendliness one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. At this level of hospitality, it is not only about the building or the location—the attitude and engagement of the team are a fundamental part of the experience. Unfortunately, that was noticeably missing during our stay.

The most amazing touch was the hotel giving me Home Alone based gifts to take home to my daughter including a beautiful teddy which she adores. The only down side was that the walls were thin and we could hear a noisy family constantly through the wall and the slamming doors from down the corridor a lot. Our room was also by the elevators which let off a very loud noise when one arrived. This had limited impact as the hotel just full of people coming and going through the night. Overall a great stay - location, room size, staff all fantastic.

Front desk staff took over thirty minutes to locate the reservation on check in, finally was sent to a smaller room than the one i originally booked and a full hour later a porter arrived to the smaller room to bring us to the larger correct room from the booking..

location and building information The staff was not professional

Such an iconic place but it is so run down. We had quite a few issues in our suite and had to have repairs made during our stay. The staff didn’t seem to care much that there were issues and although they were fixed nothing was offered for the inconveniences. Also the staff at the champagne bar didn’t even wait on us twice when we were sat and we ended up having to get our drinks from the bar and take them up to our room. Such a beautiful place but sadly such a letdown.

Every staff member we met was friendly and welcoming. From the warm greeting we received from Juan as we stepped out of the car to the exceptional hospitality we experienced throughout our stay, every interaction made us feel genuinely cared for. The hotel is elegant and inviting. Our room was beautifully decorated, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. We enjoyed dining in the Palm Court, where both the food and service were exceptional. After a day exploring Manhattan, it was such a pleasure to return to our room, enjoy room service, and relax. The Plaza exceeded our expectations and truly lives up to its reputation for timeless elegance and exceptional hospitality. Thank you to Erika and the entire Plaza team for making our mother-daughter celebration so memorable. We will always remember the kindness we experienced and are already looking forward to our next visit.
