This hotel was a great surprise. Although small, it is perfectly located to walk everywhere. Very near Central Park, between 5th and 6th avenues. Nice neighborhood, a lot of places for snacks, breakfast, lunch, diner, coffee. A mere 20 minute walk to Times Square and the Theater District. Rooms are OK, a change of carpeting could be great. Bathroom was small but functional, very nice shower. The restaurant White Olive: impressive. Excellent food, very nice and courteous service, a real treat. This is my new go to hotel when visiting New York City.

Best value in midtown when in NYC

People working there were very nice and helpful but No amenities and dingy rooms so set your expectations accordingly.

We arrived after 6 pm, the check in was very odd as we had booked a king room. The man at the desk said that our wasn't clean unit a tried to sell us into changing to a queen suite. Odd that are 6 pm our room wasn't clean yet. We had no choice but to take the queen suite. Walked in that least 20 stains on the carpet a bathroom that smelledof mildew. I feel that because we booked through a 3rd party (Expedia) at a reduced rate we were treated as 3rd class occupants. I intend to post this review on every social media app that I have to warn others of what is obviously a money grab by this property. EXPEDIA I went to another property that very evening and I expect FULL REFUND!!!!

The first room had stained carpet, damp sheets, a rusted tub, and signs of bed bugs. The staff was willing to switch to a new room, but that one had filthy bedding with hair and more signs of bed bugs. Lobby under construction; staff were not empowered to refund us. Also a surprise $45 fee upon arrival. We checked out immediately and had to get a $50 uber to a new hotel all in the same day. It was exhausting and the manager refused to refund us. Luckily Expedia refunded, but it took several calls to resolve.

Place was quiet enough and no views. But it served our purpose. Staff was very helpful which goes a long way to making a stay fine.

AC was a bit loud.

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were excellent and very helpful. Only downside about this hotel is no refrigerators in the room. Great location.

The building is old but very well kept and clean. We stayed overnight and it was super close to everything we wanted to do.

Upon arrival after 3 nights on the train, we were exhausted and needed to stretch out and get a good night's sleep. We also needed a refrigerator for medication and they offered to send one to our room. We expected a dinky New York City room, but were so pleasantly surprised when they upgraded us to a penthouse suite - which had a fridge in the room (along with 3 tv's, a luxurious shower, an incredible view and a rooftop terrace!). There was a bellman who helped with our luggage - everything was magnificent. You are within walking distance of so many New York greats: Broadway, MOMA, Carnegie Hall, great restaurants, food carts, high end shops groceries, and chain stores too.
