Washington Square Hotel by Library Hotel Collection

The room was small and plainly decorated, but it was very clean. The best part of the hotel was the friendly and helpful staff. It will be nice once they get the restaurant opened again.

My biggest issue was that the parking garage is NOT directly across the street as I was told before booking. If you require that your car be closeby like I did for this trip, note that you may need to seek an available garage many blocks away. If I had known it was not conveniently across the street like I had asked prior to booking, I would have stayed elsewhere. So while not the worst spot, I do not appreciate being lied to. Aside from that, the staff upon entry were nice and the neighborhood is one of my favorites in NYC!

Great place even better location

Great location, very friendly staff. Discount parking at a nearby garage. Rooms could use a refresh, bit dated and used vibes. Price per night was way too high for the property level during the weekday we stated there.

Wonderful smaller hotel adjacent to Washington Square park in the West Village. Incredible location if you want to enjoy this part of NYC but close to subway stops as well. Nice small lounge area with tables and coffee, tea and water all day. Pastries and a coffee bar for breakfast is a nice touch. The restaurant is being remodeled at the moment. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small and sparse and could use a few more pictures on the wall and the bathroom is older but the shower is great and everything is very clean and classic NY. We had an enjoyable stay and would recommend this little downtown gem!

Great location, great staff

Beautiful Art-Deco style hotel in the heart of Greenwich. Right next to Washington Square park, Very lively, hip part of town. The Blue and Orange line subway is just a short walk away, making getting into any part of the city very easy and convenient. Staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend checking this hotel out if you want to experience local-style living in the area. It is also very close to SOHO, so the shopping is nice, without the hustle and bustle of Times Square.

History and friendliness of staff, breakfast area a nice touch, lovely coffee… Price considering no on site restaurant or bar due to refurb work. Also, because I checked in late I didn’t get the upgrade I was expecting (although they say it’s not guaranteed).. Room really basic.. was told I had a view but it was basically a roof with lots of pipes!

The most annoying thing was that they emailed 2 days before arrival to notify me that the bar and restaurant was having a soft refurbishment and was closed. Had I known this earlier, I would have chosen somewhere else. However, with so little time to do so, the prices of other hotels were considerably more. They surely knew about the work at the time I booked and could have let me know much sooner.

Location and cleanliness For the price, as a minimum should be coffee in the room. Are you supposed to go in pajamas to grab it in the lobby? No water in the room. Mattress very uncomfortable.

Bigger than your average NYC hotel room and ideally located. Great, helpful, friendly staff.

Staff was excellent. Coffee and pastries in the mornings were a nice added touch. Perfect location right next Washington Square Park. Rooms are small but the pictures online are very accurate so the size was expected.

Very good

This is a 3 star hotel and to be fair, it delivers on that. It is very 'dated' but great location and the best (but still expensive) price I could find in Greenwich Village. Staff are very helpful and considerate. Dated look & very small room but, it is central NYC so what can you expect !
